Well, I dunno about all THAT. But I can report that even without a test drive it is a wonderfully strange car, in roughly equal measure. The bodywork is cute but a bit stubby in profile, the door openings are small, the side sills are huge, the carbon fibre tub is pure artwork, as are the pedals. The seats are snug to the point of being painful, and the dashboard would look chintzy in a Nissan Sentra, never mind a car that lists for 76 large, Canadian.

I can fit in an Alfa Romeo 4C. I ain't getting many style points in the process, though.

Holy Crap The Ford GT Is On Pole For Le Mans!
Well, I won't be able to see the end of the race, but it looks like Ford got the class win as of now. If so, congratulations to them-well played, well-raced.

I'm just pointing out (using the same website as the OP) that it ain't all sunshine and lollipops winning the class pole by such a large margin. Nothing more, nothing less. If there's butthurt about that, ain't my problem.

Yup, the Corvettes were sandbagging. That was the tactic to get a BOP change in their favor.Ya... That's why the Corvette and every other maker in the class got breathing and/or ballast reductions...including frickin' Ferrari. The ACO doesn't like being made to look foolish. Neither does Audi. We shall see how this plays out, but having your boost cut back throughout your effective racing rev range AND adding ballast? That's a pretty good slap. Corvette's initial BoP adjustment. http://www.roadandtrack.com/motorsports/news/a29574/corvette-racing-is-not-impressed-with-performance-adjustments-at-le-mans/ Ferrari gained weight. 55lbs. "On the Ferrari side, its new twin-turbo V8 488 was met with the opposite treatment as its boost was left alone in favor of reducing its pace through bolting an extra 25 kilos (55 pounds) to the three Prancing horses that qualified P3-5-6."[/size] WTF are you even reading? Ok, I'll retract my Ferrari comment and double down on the sandbagging one:http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/first-le-mans-qualifying-session-puts-a-sandbag-free-fo-1782063033 ...everybody knew. Carbon tub, three-digit production run... it's a ringer. And it will be adjusted accordingly. Hey, it still may win, but the odds went down quite a bit. And if it DOES wind up losing... well.

Better to have 'em sold than gathering dust on the lot.

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Is Officially Sold Out!!!
An Escalade V would be a license to print money, as well as probably being GM's first total takeover of a global vehicle segment-no Range Rover or G-Class could hold a candle to it. Even the Bentley and Rolls SUVs would have trouble matching it.

The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Is Officially Sold Out!!!
This kind of news makes me roll my eyes at naysayers who say things like "is Alpha cursed?" (no joke, a mutual friend of ours actually typed that). NO, Alpha isn't cursed. It just happens to be primarily focused on getting retail sales from enthusiast customers. That's typically where the biggest profits, return sales, and constructive feedback come from, and a smart company will look to maximize these things. Lest we forget, Alpha is a first-gen chassis. Judging by the reviews we are seeing for Omega, GM has the program firmly in place.

Nonsense. Unlike old whutzisname I just laugh at the collective ear-stopping and eye-covering. Ignoring reality is just setting yourself up for failure. Besides... the articles and sales numbers back me up 100%. GM is on a roll with the buying public to the extent that they can cut back fleet and maintain their sales position. What's not to like about that?

So an explanation is given for the decline, of which just about every manufacturer had, and you still feel the need to troll that fact? It's even confirmed in the very snippet of info you copy and pasted. Just seems a little redundant and trollish. Umm, no it's not. You can't just throw out whitewashed numbers, like that is the be all end all to one specific car, and then act like you are not at fault for NOT providing at least a little evidence to back up your claim. Your explanation is what comes off as childish as a result. You misunderstand me. I read this article and commented on it elsewhere yesterday. I am not alone in my assessment of it. I respond to childishness with the level of respect it deserves, so I'm quite content to make my broad statement, know it's correct, and let the peanut gallery cry some more. The facts are there to read: the Cruze and Malibu are doing model switchovers, the small cars are toast with these gas prices. Only the Impala is a disappointment to me, but it's an SUV world. In the meantime, GM has taken a bold sales strategy and although it's still fairly early on, so far it has proven a very important point: American buyers far and away prefer their product to any other Detroit brand. Simple as that

Stop with that heresy, they'll downvote you into oblivion as long as they can take their fingers out of their ears to do it. It is true though. Automakers MAKE AUTOS. That is their whole raison d'être. And given a choice between selling retail to people or selling cheaper by the dozen to bots, it's always better for the product to go with the former route. You get customer feedback which allows you to make better autos, which in turn engenders brand loyalty. Both good things. Pandering to fleets just lets you build cheaper by the dozen for a longer time, which hinders product evolution and erodes resale value for your paying customers. It ain't rocket science. And I've witnessed both firsthand.
