Indiana Slaps new fee on EV's.
We already pay a tax per mile. It's the gas tax. The more you drive the more gas you buy, therefore you pay more tax because of driving more miles. There is also a sort of weight based tax already. I'm sure the Fiesta uses far less gas than an F-250. Therefore is paying less taxes. Not to mention the weight fees already imposed on many truck owners through registration.

2018 Ford F-150 Adds A Diesel and A New Look: Comments
Scout replied to William Maley's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)A diesel and a half ton needs to be tuned for efficiency in my opinion. If they go the route of the Titan then they will have a truck that doesn't belong anywhere. The Titan is only slightly better than the gas half tons in every category except that it costs more. It's also much worse than all the heavy duty products yet can cost as much. It has no place. It really has no idea what it wants to be and what it is trying to do. If the D3 want diesels and half tons I believe they should be small and efficient. Otherwise there really is no target market for them. Except perhaps in The Titan's case, people can say I have a diesel Cummings in my truck. Which seems to be its biggest selling point. If you really need a vehicle for towing heavy loads on a regular basis you probably should have brought a three-quarter ton anyway.

Scout replied to William Maley's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I believe it was said list 5 worst than McDonald's,. Not better. McDonald's is the only place I have found that can remove all beef flavor from beef. I guess like the looks of a vehicle, taste is also subjective, if not questionable.

Scout replied to William Maley's post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I'm not sure McDonald's is a good comparison for your analogy. However,. I am sure McDonald's has about the worst burgers in fast food.

Cadillac News: 'Book by Cadillac' Is A Vehicle Subscription Service
Things get overbooked from time to time. I'm not saying it will be an issue,. Just that it can and does happen. I also don't see this being an issue for Cadillac, but it could and may happen. I would imagine that if it does Cadillac would offer some sort of discount just like airlines and other business do.

I could be wrong but I don't recall that being a problem with any of them. Perhaps more of an anomaly than an issue.

GM News: General Motors Accidentally Releases, Then Deletes Info On Updated Duramax V8
I'd day most people buying these trucks have no business moving the loads the trucks are capable of hauling/towing. Im sure they have no training in regards to managing loads that heavy. Advertised towing of 30,000 pounds on a pickup is crazy. If you are constantly towing that much you should be in at least a class 5 rig. Class 6 would be even better. You can't even use the capabilities of these trucks without endorsements on your license. But I dont expect many of the buyers to know that either. Hopefully some owner of one of these trucks don't put others in danger because of a salesman and TV comersial.

The faring and a full face helmet are two different things. A good wind screen/faring will do a lot for fatigue on longer rides. I wouldn't worry about power. I'll go out on a limb and say any larger (somewhat modern) cruiser will have a powerplant that is more than sufficient. Also the larger cruiser will be decently customizable. Farings, bags, so on.

Well, comfort I would look at the Yamaha Roadliner that I've admired for years. That's a really good choice. It has a nice riding position and is large enough to reasonably acomadate a passenger. Suzuki and Honda have similar offerings you should check. Avoid Hardly. I have nothing against them, and have owned them, but they are pricey for what they are. Paying more for the name than the content of the bike. On that note Suzuki is good bang for the buck. And again, comfort first.

What does Cadillac mean to you?
- What does Cadillac mean to you?
I guessing I am alone here but I would not have a problem with Cadillac offering a car like that. I have driven them and thought great for what they were. Same with the Chrysler Imperial and Lincoln Continental. When I was younger I would borrow a family members Continental for road trips. The comfort level and room was great. Same with a Buick Lesabre I used to barrow for the same reason. I know those are the exact cars that gave them the old person stigma. But they were all very comfortable nice to drive cars. Maybe there is room in the lineup for a business class car from Cadillac or Lincoln that is plush, roomy, and comfortable. Not everyone is looking for a car with Nürburgring and track certifications. I can think of a lot of reasons why those cars are not offered,,, but like I said, they were sooo comfy.- Your Dream Garage- 5.0-5.9 Edition
Replace anything except the Tucker with a truck and this could be my list also. Actually, after thinking about it for a second, swap the Cadillac for some sort of truck.- The First (of Many) Dream Garage Threads: Sub 2.0 Liters
Hi, have we met? I'm the obscure numbers guy. I'm just saying we need precision is all, mainly because the marketing departments at the manufacturers love to round up their measurements. I have no problem playing by the rules. We don't go around calling a 5.7 Chevy anything but a 350. Nor do we call the 5.7 hemi anything but a 345. I believe the concept is simple unless one is being deliberately obtuse or has a form of ocd. Perhaps a form of autism could also be at play.- The First (of Many) Dream Garage Threads: Sub 2.0 Liters
