Mercedez Benz News Mercedes Introduces the new GLB
Exactly the reason we got MDX for my wife and why we probably will get another one this year. We have two kids and 95% of the time drive with third row down, but occasionally need the third row when we drive short distance with parents or our kids friends. For camping or other trips I also have a roof basket for all the extra crap. If we had 3 or more kids though, I would get either a minivan or large size SUV, like Expedition.

Industry News: Trump's Tariff Threat Turned Out To Be A Farce
I know about them and being jewish has nothing to do with being objective or truthful on Israel or jews in general. These images are everything you need to know how Hamas conducts its conflict and than Israel get blamed for the death of innocents by the West. I personally might not be impartial on the subject but I see how so many things gets twisted by the world media that just playes into the extremists hands. Not just with Hamas or Hezbollah. In any case, I don't want to derail the thread, I just can't stay silent on the subject.

Industry News: Trump's Tariff Threat Turned Out To Be A Farce
While I agree with your statement above in general, calling Israel apartheid country is simply wrong and incorrect use of the word. Blaming them for death of fake journalists or aid workers is not truthful either. Also, it was proven time and time again that Hamas doctored and faked death of the children during last few conflicts.

Cadillac News: 2020 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Aren't As Powerful As Their Predecessors
Isn't the CT4-V will be C43 competitor, and it will have 320hp vs 385hp and 369 lb-ft vs 384 lb-ft. I am not sure if CT4-V will be lighter and by how much than C43, but powerwise it is quite down. BTW just saw this on Motor Trend "And there will also be a track version of the CT4-V with details to come soon. This will be a V-Series strategy going forward, an affordable V and a track V. " So I guess V replaces V-sport and V track will be instead of V.

Cadillac News: 2020 Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Aren't As Powerful As Their Predecessors
I like CT4 front and side much more than the CT5, not sure about the rear though. As many said before, this should have been V-sport trim , not the V. Really disappointing, if they want to compete with Germans and make over 100 less hp.

Unpopular Opinion about an Unpopular Car?
Mazda MX-6, my first car. Not very popular but I loved it. FWD, 2.5L V6, 5-speed manual transmission. Handled very well for FWD, and was pretty zippy. Was definitely not for tall people, so I could not sit completely straight, nevertheless it was great.

What's the perfect car for someone who doesn't care about cars?
According to Hyundai FAQ: If you sell your vehicle while still under the 10-Year/100,000-Mile Powertrain Limited Warranty, the warranty will be reduced to 5-year/60,000-mile coverage. Other Hyundai warranty terms and coverage periods, including Roadside Assistance, remain unchanged for subsequent owner(s). So still pretty good deal I guess but not as good as the original owner. Personally, I drive almost 30k a year, so even 100k wouldn't do me much good, I would rather have a 2-3 year old vehicle that got the initial big hit of the depreciation. But I am an exception to an average driver.

What's the perfect car for someone who doesn't care about cars?
Actually, I would go as used for Hyundai and Kia. They loose value much more than Toyota or Honda but still have good reliability and warranty. And yet they still are noted as the most reliable brand by CR, JD Powers etc (i know #biased). Most other manufacturers became much better but Toyotas in general still seem to be above average.

You should at least specify budget or any particular needs, unless it is a hypothetical question.

In general I would say Toyota. Despite what people on this forum claim most Toyotas are still very reliable, economical and they hold their value very well.

Sales: April 2019 Sales Figures
Just a little comment on the defense department. While there is a LOT of waste, people who are outside the defense industry do not realize how much testing and what crazy specifications that "$800 hammer" so to speak had to go through and meet. The prices might seems exaggerated, but when you look into detail, most of it makes sense. Also, not to get personal but since you mentioned your son's situation I think he is responsible at large. People do not change and in 7 years I think he should have realized who his ex-girlfriend really is. No offense intended, just my personal opinion. On the other hand my company has issues finding skilled technicians and engineers (maybe pay is not competitive enough, not sure, but when economy is bad and unemployment is high people compromise and take lower paying jobs)

Past EV vehicles
Not really, similar concept i guess but they were metal "The wheels were designed and manufactured by General Motors Defense Research Laboratories in Santa Barbara, California.[20] Ferenc Pavlics was given special recognition by NASA for developing the "resilient wheel".[21] They consisted of a spun aluminum hub and a 32 inches (81 cm) diameter, 9 inches (23 cm) wide tire made of zinc-coated woven 0.033 inches (0.84 mm) diameter steel strands attached to the rim and discs of formed aluminum. Titanium chevrons covered 50% of the contact area to provide traction. Inside the tire was a 25.5 inches (65 cm) diameter bump stop frame to protect the hub."

First Hybrid Vehicle: Lohner-Porsche Mixed Hybrid. (1900-1905) "First prototypes were two-wheel drive, battery-powered electric vehicles with two front-wheel hub-mounted motors. A later version was a series hybrid using hub-mounted electric motors in each wheel, powered by batteries and a gasoline-engine generator." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lohner-Porsche
