Thanks! Yeah- after being married almost 20 years (together for 25) I thought I would be totally destroyed. But she inspired us to do better- something we want to honor her with. I still have my moments (expected of course) but I am getting stronger every day. What surprises me now is all the attention I seem to be getting. Very strange, as I am not looking for it. Good news is I drive everything in my fleet…so nothing sits for too long. And my son still amazes me every day…he is so much like his mom!

Hi guys- Been a bit busy- not easy being a single dad now with two jobs and a 13 year old to take care of. We’re hanging in there, and staying out of trouble. ? Well, kind of….. Bought out the Equinox- and it’s doing just fine. Even after the local dealerships have bugged me to turn in the Trax after she passed-it’s still sitting in my driveway. My son would like it as his first car (since it was Mom’s) so i might buy. it out as well…. Also not expecting to attract women- guess things have changed a bit. Have gotten some really interesting stuff on IM’ed on facebook to me. Not really looking, but yet they find me…. ? Also on the hunt for a classic Truck……. Hoping everyone Is doing well!

What worries me is just how bad things are going to get for new cars in general. The used car market is going to be nuts! I thought I might have to fight to keep my Equinox. Looks like it might even be a little cheaper as well. So I’m planning the purchase late next month/early November. Thinking about keeping the Trax as well. Cars are not going to be cheap for a very long time……

While it’s nice with the income in DC, the cost of living down there is nuts! Everything is pricey! Now that same income down in certain parts of the south? You’d be living quite well……

By contract, no. They do give you an buyout price. That said, sales folk will talk you out of it, and dealerships will tell you otherwise. At least the ones that really need cars. Good places should sell them to you though……

Looks like I am in for a fight…might have to battle to keep my lease. I keep getting letters to get my Nox pre inspected before the lease turn in. This particular letter takes out the idea of “choice” I get the feeling GM financial is going to try to avoid folks purchasing since they will have very few new cars to sell for the holidays. Making sure my salesperson knows that is is being bought…think he will have better luck than I……

Bunch of first tomorrow….son’s first day at a new school- and the first day at my new Job. Going to be a busy day! Also working on getting the cars ready for winter. I say that knowing we have a chance for bad storms tomorrow. At least two of my rides are an oil change from being done…..

Can’t say this wasn’t planned.. Many ask just how they are going to do, and how folks are going to pay for it. Well, you are getting a preview now….. First step are the “”shortages” you see now. Don’t get excited too much- I don’t expect them to rush back into demand. And since there is no advertising and customers are paying full price (or more) there is no rush to build more. Will screw the workers at some point though…. The second is the one you see soon. The Middle East mess (politics or not) is going to turn quite nasty soon. Wall Street knows it, and is betting on it. Gas prices at some point in the future are going to jump quite a bit- double or triple what they are now. It will force consumers into EVs…..and whatever price they charge. Consumers aren’t going to just be pushed into it-they will have to be forced into it. That’s how they are going to make that goal…..
