General Motors Death Watch 60: Bankruptcy is Good
I wholly agree with this argument. We gotta see change: starting with the union busting and the replacement of the CEO. Honestly, I'd like to see a board with as few grey haired people as possible, (maybe keep Lutz) and is willing to take a few risks and inject life into the brand.

Pontiac GTO is Back at ‘Full Tilt’
General Motors plans a follow-up to today’s GTO, and a high Australian dollar means it will likely be built in North America By GREG KABLE AutoWeek | Published 03/02/06, 12:21 pm et http://www.autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...E/60302001/1039 This comes from the big guy himself. Enjoy!

OnStar Turn-By-Turn Navigation
An awesome idea for sure. It goes to show that GM is still thinking creatively. But, I am just curious as to how much of a seller it will be. 10 bucks extra will not be much more for the person who can afford OnStar. But OnStar is expensive, and I am sure there are many people who would love to have this service but will not be able to shoulder the cost. I think it may be worth GM's while to offer this option to non-OnStar customers, but at a bit of a higher cost than 10 bucks, but one that will appeal to the mass market. This will likely increase the sales of this system, but may also give people one more reason to buy a Chevy over a Toyota or Nissan. Plus, if the customers are satisfied with this system, they may also upgrade to full OnStar service!

New Info 2007 LaCrosse
Great... another W-Body which will likely get the V8 treatment... I'm glad those 5.3's don't have feelings or feel pain because I'd be pretty bummed if I was to be detuned, shoved into a front-wheel drive W-Body and be bolted to an ancient four speed automatic.

The New Tundra
They sure biased... but I'd just leave them alone. If we all go there and fill up the boards, what's to stop them from coming here and doing the same, filling it up with their heavily opinionated verbal diharraea. Nah, I'd just wait for some head to head tests, (Silverado or Sierra vs. Tundra) and let the results speak for themselves. Japan has not made a truly successful domestic-beater truck yet, (T-100, Tacoma, Ridgeline) and honestly, the Tundra is going to have such a huge, expensive price gap between the Domestic's, that it'll barely make a dent, just like the others. (If you do decide to storm the Toyota page, maybe you oughta get the Dodge/Mopar and Ford dudes to help out... I'd bet they'd love to give us a hand :AH-HA_wink: )

logo infrigment
Probably yes and no. I always noticed the GNC and GMC similarities, but I never once thought that either company would sue the other one. All it does is make me look twice and grin a little. I seriously doubt a reasonable person would confuse either company... But we do live in a society that somehow allows morons to sue companies like McDonalds for millions because that moron spilled coffee on their lap. Or even now fat people are trying to sue fast food companies because they claim the food is "addicting" or that the fat person had "no idea" that greasy, meaty burgers would contain fat. I think this is a sign of our culture, and it's sad. I think people just can't accept that much of what they do is their own fault, and choose to blame others.

TCC: 2007 Toyota Camry Review
- 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche
Too bad that the 2500 is not sticking around because I was hoping for the Duramax/Allison combination in the Avalanche. Oh well... here's hoping they'll have the hybrid system in it.- Camaro pics from NAIAS
I working extra long night shifts just to save up for this car. Please GM, don't let me down.- Toyota sued over Hybrid Technology
I dunno. Chances are that GM wanted their own Hybrid system that would compete with Toyota instead of copying Toyota's "Synergy" system. As for the media spotlight, well, look at the media today and their portrayal of foreign vehicles, especially Toyota. Case in point, the Prius suffers the software error in its vehicles and at the same time, GM's Envoy and Trailblazer SUV's have a latch problem. Both are recalled. I don't know about you guys in the States but in Vancouver (Canada) the story that made the news was the GM recall, and yet there was no mention of the Prius. Instead, a couple days later, a news report on the same station extolled the virtues of the Prius, with it's high fuel economy, blah blah blah. After all, the media usually just tells the public what they want to hear. And the general perception is still that American vehicles suck. I hope this small company wins. Although I don't want to see the Prius stop being sold in North America, I do want Toyota to be knocked down a few pegs so it would get off its high horse, and stop acting like the company is God's gift to humanity. Hell, their ad's (at least up here) don't even focus on the vehicles anymore, but instead saying if you're smart, you'll buy a Toyota. I guess they think that if you're a dumbass, you'll buy a Domestic.- 2006 NAIAS: Hyundai HCD9 Talus Concept

FAPTurbo replied to !!!TED!!!'s post in a topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)One word: Dorky.- Chrysler Aspen Official Picture
Just a badge engineered Durango with fancy wheels... I kind of figured that the Chrysler brand would abstain from SUV's and leave it to Dodge and Jeep. After the Pacifica, I was hoping they would come out with a new crossover. They seem a little classier than most SUV's, especially the Durango.- Official Camaro concept thread - for now
It's nice, real nice. But I'm going to be 'ants at a picnic' and say that packing a 400hp engine seems dumb, it'll be too close to the Corvette. I know this is a concept, but I wish GM would be a bit more realistic with the horsepower. I sure hope that they will have a V6 model and a couple V8's that will be more affordable. If they want to drop in the Corvette block and call it a Z28, that's cool, but lets hope that they do have RS-spec (or something like it) that will be much cheaper and will pit the Camaro directly with the Mustang.- The Caliber just looks "off"
I actually don't mind the Caliber, but it really does look better in black. At least it looks a little different than all the Corolla's and Civic's out there which try to look inoffensive to all, but at the same time, bland and unattractive.- 2006 Chevy Trailblazer SS
I think it's useless trying to define a person's political view just by the car they drive... My family are memebers of the Conservative's (Canada) and we drive domestic and my buddy is also a conservative but he drives a Mazda. There is only one vehicle I know of that scream's "liberal" and that's Volvo! Let's all agree on this: if a dude is driving a Scion xB-ox he's neither a liberal or a conservative but instead just an ill-informed moron... that or he's a Ralph Nader (pinko-commie) kind of guy. <_<- 2006 LAIAS: 2007 Chevrolet Suburban
Such a great SUV and yet it is lacking one thing that would be a nice selling point... the 6.6 Duramax with the Allison 6-Speed Automatic. A big vehicle like this could really use an optional diesel engine.- Sky Prices and standard features!
Hmmm... maybe Saturn ought to bring back the dent resistant body panels :P- Dan Neil Reviews the HHR
Actually, I think he has some good points and says what needs to be said, but I would have taken him more seriously if he didn't add all that shtick, (ex. "the HHR couldn't hit hip with a hand grenade")- Concept - Chrysler Imperial
I like the 300 and I also like the Charger, but this 'thing' just looks awkward. Lucky for us, it's only a concept, and I don't see it hitting dealerships.- 2006 Detroit Auto Show: Hummer H3x
