Y'know, there were people who said the Sonata would never be as good as the Accord or Camry. There was a twenty-one year time period, from 1988-2009, in which the Sonata was generally regarded as a pile of crap.

So it seems like the 'hype' has died down, and things are falling into place. It's a bit of a bummer seeing people from the 'AMD camp' cheering about Intel customers potentially having to return their boards, or face a potential decline (or failure) in performance. [H]Forums, that [H]ilarious enthusiast [H]ell[H]ole seems to have really been bitten by the schadenfreude bug.

If you don't need it right away, perhaps see what Motorola's 'Xoom' will have to offer. It's slated to be released at the end of this month, and runs on Honeycomb which is a new Android system that promises to be 150% more awesomer than anything on the market today. Plus, I'd assume Android to be better suited for power-use, like website and database management.

Yeah, and it was a family car then, just like the one today is... People complain about GM ridding itself of nameplates with cachet, but then they complain that the vehicles of today are somehow not worthy of the name itself. Seriously, it's a Malibu. Plus, compared to all the Malibu's released since 1973, the current car is actually doing the name a huge favor.

I think a mountain out of a molehill is being made from the enthusiast quarters, although that's pretty much expected from hardware nerds. And AMD fans will conveniently forget the Phenom I TLB bug. We should all be happy Intel actually came out with this so quickly, as opposed to a certain automaker who decided to sit on their problems hoping nobody would find out until they got outed a year ago. Really, from what I've read, the degradation ranges from 5% for casual users, to 15% for those who heavily use the bus. I doubt many heavy users would be running a mid-range SB system. Plus, it only applies to SATA2 ports, so just plug the OS drive into a SATA3 port, select the drive in the BIOS' boot manager, and problem solved. Still, enthusiasts will be RMA'ing their motherboards en-masse for something that is pretty minor. There's going to be quite a few funny stories of angry people waiting weeks for their boards. It is a shame BD got held back, but then Bobcat and Llano are looking to be incredibly promising products. I'd rather AMD pursue the mainstream with those products instead of trying to get BD out just to appease the enthusiasts, half of which don't even buy the products they're rooting for.

You'd rather GM release a vehicle to the largest, most competitive car market only to potentially have one small issue magnified out of proportion causing the media, and public to immediately discard the vehicle as inferior and say GM IS TEH GUVMENT SUXOR MOTORRZ? What on Earth is wrong with GM using other markets as test-cases? If anything, this means they place a HUGE degree of importance on the American car market, because they want the car to be perfect at launch so American consumers won't have any first year reliability woes and the car will debut to positive reviews.

Ok, but seeing as GM can wring out tons of money from these appearance packages, just like BMW can with it's 'M' appearance packages, why complain? It just means that GM makes more money.

I think it'd be tasteless to shoot an official's picture, especially in light of recent events in Arizona. But regardless of taste, that should not be a crime at all, as it's freedom of expression.

I'm pretty certain that you're the only person in the Western hemisphere that even cares about the 118mph top speed. If you want to loop the Laguna Seca, then hooray for you, but that's not what this car is for. That's 190 kilometers per hour. Nobody drives that fast. That navigation unit isn't cheap, seeing as the screen is over eight inches, and it's a Garmin, which are the best units around. Plus, this potentially will make it easy for the end-user to upgrade, as opposed to proprietary systems from other companies.

Exactly. This is not a design flaw in any way, shape or form. Gas tanks have warning labels telling the user to keep away from open flame, ignition sources, and make sure that the unit is kept in ventilated areas. They also mention to keep the unit away from children. The one in my garage even mentions that gasoline vapors can travel and ignite. Oh, and right from Blitz' website: The design isn't bad, it's just not good, and it's been remedied. But before flame arrestors, most people did fine fueling their vehicles and equipment because they had common sense. So the parents neglected their child, and neglected all the warnings that would be on the can. If the warnings somehow came off, then they still should have had the common sense to NOT let a SIX YEAR OLD POUR GAS ON A FIRE. I feel bad for the kid, but his retard parents did not exercise parental responsibility.
