SEMA 2008: Mopar Underground Challenger Targa and Blacktop
I have to agree, the gloss & satin blacks together work so well!

Ever park next to or have some park next to you with the same car?
lol I totally cheat at this! Doing some custom work to the gold one, that's why the headliner's out.

The the "parts" people...(or anybody)
I kinda like the wheels, except for the missing center caps and the fact that 15" wheels should NOT weigh 25lbs. But, for $50 with tires, I couldn't complain when I bought 'em! Lightweight autox wheels coming soon.

Doesn't really look like much, needs new paint. Didn't do too well being new at it, and being on all-seasons, either. Hope to be back with a vengeance & better tires (and lighter wheels) come spring.

Yeah, the '99 SC2 is the one I've autocrossed.

SEMA 2008: Camaro LS7 Concept revealed
I think the photography is lacking on this one (though the lighting looks like it makes good photography of this bright color very difficult). Details just don't show up in the pictures. I like the black one a lot better for looks. The shape of the Camaro hood makes a different colored hood work well, as it is a nice shape and flows well with other lines.

SEMA 2008: Camaro Black Concept
Hot. I would add clear corner lights & black bowties. Probably better looking wheels available too. Still Hot.

Saw an Equinox Fuel Cell today?
But to be more positive, I will point out that GM is one of very, very few that does. I know Honda does, anyone else?

Intrepid to 300M
That reminds me... I have to wait until the new year due to tight finances, but my Christmas present to my wife this year will be installing a heated seat kit in her car. She hates being cold, and has to drive to either the bus stop or work really early in the morning. Figure a heated seat will be warm faster than the car heater will be.

Intrepid to 300M
Very cool to see someone else improving their car's interior. I just finished a tan to black interior swap on my '99 Saturn SC2, and am currently working on making some LeSabre sun visors fit (though I'm a little anxious since it means cutting into the spaceframe where the stock visors attach, so there's no going back), filling in the gaps between my headliner and the '99 Suburban overhead console I already installed, re-covering my headliner with much more upscale material than the stock felt, and plasti-dipping the trim pieces above the beltline, which were not available in black. So nice to drive a car around knowing you have a nicer interior than pretty much anyone else with the same car, don'tya think?

Saturn Vue oil is black!
The oil being overfull can be a problem, but if it hasn't been so far, and since you're so close to oil change time, I wouldn't worry about it. What *can* happen is if the oil is too full and the crank actually splashes in the oil in the pan, it can foam up and cause serious damage to the engine. I would guess since there hasn't been an issue so far, that it's not that high, and you're safe to just make sure it's the right level when you get the oil changed.

Saturn Vue oil is black!
If the retailer's prices are fairly competitive, that might not be a bad idea, I suppose.

Saturn Vue oil is black!
it's very possible that it's because of the engine being new. Oil is supposed to turn black, that means it's doing it's job picking up contaminates. It doesn't mean the oil is bad by any means, though it sounds like it's about time for an oil change anyway (I generally do extended mile changes, but I wouldn't on a brand new vehicle). My only question is why you don't do your own oil changes? Been far too many times that oil change places have screwed things up for me to ever trust them. I don't know about the '08 Vue, but on most vehicles an oil change is cake.

The the "parts" people...(or anybody)
It's a blast, even if you aren't ready to really compete. Just getting out there & being able to really throw the car around & only worry about hitting a cone or having a bad time for the run is great fun. If you just go to have fun & not get overly serious about trying to be competitive, it can be really inexpensive, too. Of course, if you DO start trying to be competitive, it can get expensive quick. lol

The the "parts" people...(or anybody)
So far so good, though they are in the rear, so they don't do nearly the work the hawks do. Autox has been fun, though I'm still on all-seasons, so I'm not really at all competitive.

Yup, I think that says it pretty clearly, other than completing the sentence:

VUE TWO MODE HYBRID FIRST DRIVE
Oh, I'm open to driving one, but the nearest dealer is more than 2 hours drive away, and there's no chance I would buy one even if I was totally blown away (probably couldn't afford the payment, and I'm not interested in the financial waste that comes with buying brand new vehicles). I'm not saying it's a bad product, I'm just saying it seems silly that it weighs as much as it does for its size. GM should find ways to build their vehicles just as solid but lose some weight. I haven't driven the 4cyl Aura - I test drove the 2 6cyls they offered originally. Both were nice, but consider that the Aura weighs about 600lbs more than the L-Series it replaced, and isn't notably bigger. It's certainly a more refined car, but that's a heck of a lotta weight. If the 4cyl is already getting better mpgs than the competition, just think if it lost 300lbs.
