Chevrolet Crossover likely to be dubbed Traverse
That's what the MID-SIZED (no, not compact, but mid-sized) Equinox is for. Give the Traverse the 8-passenger seating, LS, LT, and LTZ trims, 270hp for LS/LT, and 285hp for the LTZ, which would be like the SS version, but given the more appopriate LTZ badge, and not something meaningless and cliched like 'Sport'. I love the GMC Acadia, but it overlaps directly with the Saturn Outlook and Buick Enclave, and that would be the first to go. I feel all three are excellent vehicles (saw an Enclave a couple weekends ago, not the inside or a brochure yet, but it looks great)! And I would love to see Outlook with styling cues of the Prevue/Antara GTC concept (not the production vehicles), which would better set it apart, and for Traverse and Enclave to offer a front split bench seat, in cloth and leather options.

GM previews 18 new models to european journalists
Any chance the Cobalt is a lower, more smoothed-out (but not bland at all-i.e. less stubby with a longer hood, lower height, less busy sides, without the small window or black pillar ahead of the doors, a recent design element that just looks hideous on passenger cars) design of the 2006 WTCC Ultra concept? Or better yet, the Volt? Hopefully Cobalt will go from conservative, "cheap chick car" mediocrity to Sentra/3-type American class contender? I have faith in GM Daewoo, but it won't turn out as badly as the restyled Aveo did, will it? A coupe, sedan, wagon, and maybe 5-door hatchback sedan would be good for the Cobalt, if not more. And so this car, which I'm guessing will go under the Cobalt moniker, will also replace Optra, correct?

Buick Skylark to replace Excelle in China in '09
No, the Skylarks from 1980 onward were all compact cars, not mid-size, and that includes the ugly, previous models. I prefer the name Skyhawk for this car, I was hoping Skylark would return to its 1975-79 (compact for the day) roots as a rear-drive compact, but more luxurious and heavily differentiated from its Chevy cousin.

Is there an H3T concept other than the black 2 door?
I think the H3T is longer behind the rear doors (which are full, Suburban-like, as opposed to regular H3's which cut into the rear door wheel openings), with a longer wheelbase toward the rear.

Future of Pontiac Vibe?
Vibe's still there-pretty much unchanged and languishing since its inferior, unnecessary 2005 facelift which gave it a boring grille as opposed to the exciting one from 2002.5-04 models. I thought of them redesigning it earlier, but just let the HHR be the sole representative of this segment on the mainstream end or add a Captiva-meets Journey (2003) concept-styled tall 5-door hatchback. Not unlike Dodge Caliber, but a nice car, and with a good interior, not an abominable one. In other words, kill the Vibe now!

Jerry Falwell is dead
I've never really heard Jerry Falwell in most Christian circles-been a born-again Christian going to a Calvary Church body for almost 3 years-the only place I heard of Falwell was in MAD Magazine, that's about it. Sad he's dead, but as for where he is, God knows and cares, its not my place.

2008 General Motors Car & Truck Guide
Sweet! I've been waiting for this! Thanks for posting-I just have to wait until tomorrow morning (or afternoon depending on how much time I have before my final). I saw a Victory Red Avalanche a few days ago too-that's like one of the everlasting colors at GM-the others being 41U Black and 50U Summit White, and that's perfectly fine (though for the cars I prefer 27U Precision/Crimson/Scarlett Red as on the W-Bodies).

2008 GMC Ordering Guide
I like the two new red colors for the Sierra (but still can't understand why the Medium Brown and Sonoma Red Metallics are locked out of the W/T/SL trims), but otherwise the truck sucks and its a huge disappointment to me, just like its near-clone Chevy Silverado. Here's why I don't like it: -The cabs look/felt smaller than the previous generation models, let alone Dodge Ram, Toyota Tundra, etc. -Front disc and rear drum brakes. ITS FREAKING 2008!!!! NOT 1968!!!! 4-wheel discs!!! At least they're not like Dodge and have rear-only ABS standard. -Those 2005-now base steel wheels look like crap. At least the 1999-2004 trucks tried not to look cheap despite being equipmentless base models, and on that note... I was looking at my 2007 Tundra brochure (and still have yet to get into one) and noticed you can get power windows on the Base models. Now, if I'm going for a W/T (which shouldn't be offered on Sierra, just for the sake of the GMC being slightly more upscale-start at SL), I probably wouldn't get power anything, but still in keeping with the times, why not make them at least optional on the not-quite deluxe (1LT for Chevy, SLE for GMC) models? On the product changes, nice to see a Black Pearl (or whatever) for Acadia, now just ditch the Navy Blue and maybe add 27U Crimson Red or the Sonoma Red Metallic and we're in business. And add chrome window surround and body-color OSRV mirrors to the SLE trim. Nice color changes for the others, but why did Envoy not get Gold Mist?

The Registry Rundown for March 2007
Haven't been on here much lately, but thought I'd say thanks for the list-anything happen for April or May?

2008 Pontiac Grand Prix Ordering Guide
On the Lucerne note-does anyone actually miss the LeSabre? I know I don't....Then again, if Lucerne died, other than colors and its respect its brought toward Buick (and the exact same clientele), I wouldn't miss it much either, but at least it tries to be classy and luxurious unlike the Chevy-content-like LeSabre. I'll miss the sportiness and daring (if misinterpreted) styling Grand Prix brings to Pontiac-its sad to see one of America's most storied names go. I'm surprised the Light Quartz Metallic (14U) isn't offered on Grand Prix-I'm surprised.

DESIGN: Holden VE
A boring car from the start-but it does have a good chance and I love seeing design sneak peeks! Thanks to those who brought it!

DTS Colors?
If you want a blue, you're stuck with the boring (Navy) Blue Chip, new Red is the meh-Crystal Red Tintcoat. Gold Mist, Mystic Gray, and Double Espresso look good though.

2008 Chevy Online Ordering Guide
So what new colors does the new Malibu have? When does the Order Guide for that come out? Yeah, Cobalt needs to be updated-I'd take a Sentra, Elantra, Spectra, even most others over that plug-ordinary car. Also, the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Classic (Base and Brougham trims, 307 V-8 only) were sold only for the first part of the 1988 model year until the FWD W-Body models' production ramped up.

Let me just save you the "heartbreak"
Solara has frameless door glass too....

2008 Cadillac CTS Ordering Guide
BTW, that "Orange" CTS you saw on the Autoweek photos was the Crystal Red Tintcoat-looks like a Carmine Red type color-kind like 79U Ruby/Cardinal Red Metallic on the Saturn VUE/Chevy HHR, but a tintcoat color.

2008 Cadillac CTS Ordering Guide
No, Crystal Red replaced Red Jewel/Infrared and the fabulous Crimson Pearl Tintcoats, though some mainstream cars and trucks (Aura, Impala, Escalade to name a few) offer the Red Jewel/Infrared for 2008. How about more Red and Blue interiors?

551 Zeta Delayed
Well that sucks Impala is delayed-better to be delayed so that the car is better and not cancelled, or worse yet, made front-wheel-drive yet again, right?
-
2008 Buick Ordering Guide
Yeah I never really liked the Ming (Navy) Blue Metallic-I just think navy blue is dark and boring, and most vehicles that have that color are boring and have little or no personality (full-sized trucks, Lucerne, former Malibus, etc.) Midnight Blue is okay, but why didn't the 2007's Polar Blue expand? Light Quartz Metallic appears to be more Lavender than Blue, very nice, IMO.

HUMMER plans 'till 2011
Um...er....Nissan Murano is A) a mid-size SUV, and B) Its a car-based crossover model which has absolutely nothing in common with any current GM offering, with exception of the Chevrolet Equinox/Pontiac Torrent duo, but of course, has more power and features, and style, though Equinox/Torrent still have a lot going for it and are stylish in their own right. Hopefully Hummer won't lose any credibility here, however.

2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Another Jeep I'm not impressed with lately-and other than the interior, its the best Jeep (other than Wrangler/Unlimited) there is.
-
2008 Jeep Liberty
Mule Bakersdozen LS replied to Chris_Doane's post in a topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)Also, Grand Cherokee (and Wrangler), with more passenger and cargo room and a good interior obviously, is what other Jeeps should be patterned after, not the third-world box Commander, and not those Patriot or Compass abominations either.

2008 Jeep Liberty
Mule Bakersdozen LS replied to Chris_Doane's post in a topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)I agree-the exterior design could be worse, but the interior is a downgrade-more 'Sea of supposed Slate Grey', and the Nitro is better and has more features it seems. Too bad we're stuck with this until 2015 or so...

NYIAS: Chevy Trax, Beat and Groove
All three are interesting and great, welcome concepts-I voted for the Groove, with Beat a strong second favorite, and the just-a-tad-too-boxy (but still well-thought-out) Trax in 3rd place for me. Anyone notice how the Beat looks suspiciously like the recent Opel Agila/Suzuki Wagon R spy shots? Hmmm....

NYIAS: 2009 Ford Flex
Mule Bakersdozen LS replied to mustang84's post in a topic in New York International Auto Show (NYIAS)Looks awesome! Makes the Taurus X even more obsolete, and provides great competition to the Lambda trio. Well done, Ford! Now where's the Dodge rival? (And no, JC49 is not it-that's mid-size, this is definitely full-size).
