Um.. no. I never blamed you for anything so I don't know why you are jumping to conclusions. I basically said there are people on here who expect too much some times. I'm one of those people. I'm just learning to get too upset over it.

The 28th is not over yet and even if it isn't shown today, there was no mention whatsoever of the images of the vehicle surfacing on the net at all. Someone just assumed that it was going to be. I think, like most "unveilings", this was over-hyped by the people on this site.

I hope my cousins aren't affected. Hopefully France's "Father knows best" government won't make any headway. They certainly are making impossible for people to live there. First the Muslim minorities, now anyone under 26 years of age.

I realize that a lot of other sites allow people to recieve feeds. I think it would be a great feature for the site. Anyone agree?

    He was joking.
  6. If anything GM will destroy brands in North America if it gets really bad. Think about it: Would GM abandon an entire market just to save a few billion dollars? Hell no. This is the biggest load of crap I've ever read. The only chances of this ever happening is if GM is bought by Toyota, Pontiac is sold and merges with BMW, and Honda produces a real truck based off the GMT 900 platform. NOT gonna happen.

I agree with Croc. Holdens rebadge under the Pontiac brand would be a huge disaster for GM since it would overlap in pricing and features with Buick, Saturn, and upper level chevys. Remember: Buick will be offering an upscale RWD sedan(the one on this thread) and will eventually be shown in the same dealerships as Pontiac. Remember.. Holden isn't a cheap brand. GM (Lutz specifically) wants Pontiac to offer cheap, sporty vehicles with RWD that are unique to the brand. Since it looks like GM is developing small RWD vehicle, it looks like changes are already in progress. Also, Pontiac will probably only have 3 or 4 models when all is said and done when GM merges it with GMC and Buick dealer networks. We don't need a full line of large sedans to take up that room.
  8. Well.. seeing how neon ground effects are illegal.. I can see this being illegal as well. Thank God.
  9. Damn it. What I would do to see the CTS interior.
  10. Yes... do tell. I hope the Outlook takes a lot of it's influence from Opel's interiors....without the complex buttons and tiny nav screen.
  11. I'd rather not. The Impala would lose so bad.
  12. I would really rather have the Impala be the fleet whore over the 'bu. It's so much nicer.
  13. I think you meant NAIAS Variance. The NY autoshow is only a few weeks away and we haven't seen or heard anything that would show us that GM is ready to present it to the world.

Though, since it's a Lexus.. it shouldn't have these problems... according to the automotive media. You see, GM or Ford are criticized over and over again whenever they have problems.. yet Lexus and Toyota get a free pass even if they do make crap cars. Why is this again? Could it be because there is no such thing as an objective journalist in the auto media anymore? I certainly hope not but it looks like it.
  15. Looks nice. Interior looks really high class. I just wish they'd make the radio/HVAC the same color as the rest of the center stack. GM still needs to work that out with the new GM vehicles.
  16. I don't know.. It looks very 80s. Could it be a Lotus concept? (from the 80s of course)

Did you see it or are you just assuming that it will be bad because of what critics may or may not be saying. I don't trust critics at all. Especially after they gave the recent Star Wars movie all those good reviews. It sucked so badly in my opinion and many people I know would agree. Still, I had to see for myself. Anyways..If you haven't seen it.. just take a look for yourself and make your own opinion. If you have seen it.. well then, it's your opinion.
  18. I do not think the taillights mean anything for us. I am assuming that GM was testing the vehicle on the Autobahn or another European track. For people who don't think this is the next STS: Why would they give a test mule a brand new grille and style upgrades (excluding the taillights) if this is just a disguise for another vehicle? It does not make sense. I believe this article and those who support it.
  19. Wow. This will be great. Just imagine the possibilities. Looks the Z06 may not be GM's fastest production vehicle anymore when these babies come out. Either that.. or the Blue Devil project is moving a long nicely.
  20. Well... at least it looks original.

Oh my God! Did this person do any research? What a moron. I cannot get over how stupid that person is.
  22. Um.. the cars under his belt only started coming out in the past year or so and if you don't think that they are much more competitive and attractive then previous GM vehicles.. then I don't know what to tell you. Most of the vehicles that are on the road now including: the Cobalt, the Malibu, and a lot of the Cadillacs (including the STS) were already being produced when Lutz came to GM. He made as many tweeks to the STS as he could without completely scrapping it. Let's take at at what Lutz has accomplished: The Kappa platform (solstice, sky), the HHR, the GMT900s, Zeta (camaro, next GTO, full sized sedans), the new Lambdas, the new Lucerne, and much more. These vehicles are slowly turning GM around. Sure, not all of them are here yet but you can thank the bean counters for this. Lutz has been taking chances and he's been shaking up the design process at GM. He's saying what millions of Americans already know, that GM produced some crappy vehicles in the past, so it's not like he's surprising people with this fact. He should be entitled to say what he wants because he's doing so much for this company.
  23. $2 million is not a lot of money. There is no way 2 million dollars can make the interior of the solstice better. Hundreds of millions of dollars could. 2 million dollars is pocket change. Come on people. How many times do I have to say that?
  24. It's obvious that a lot of you don't know how the movie business works. Guys, companies do this all the time. You just don't hear about it as much. Whenever you see product placement or some sort of brand name item in a movie, television show, or a music video, it's not because the producers paid to have it shown in the movie, it's the other way around. Companies like Motorola, Apple, GM, and Toyota (to name a few) pay movie studios to have their products showcased especially in huge blockbusters like the new Mission Impossible movie. The reason: guaranteed viewership Would you rather have GM waste billions of dollars on television commercials in a time when things like TiVO, DVDs, and internet file sharing are allowing people to completely skip the commercial break? Or would you rather have GM spend a cool 2 million to showcase a hot vehicle that is guaranteed to be seen by hundreds of millions of people in a big summer movie? Hmm... tough decision there. Even though Tom Cruise is nut-job and everyone knows it, he still draws in a huge audience. Mission Impossible III will be one of the biggest movies of the year and you don't think GM should spend a little money (yes 2 million is a small amount for advertising) for some airtime? Maybe that's why you guys aren't in the advertising biz.
  25. Finally.. inventive VW commercials again. Though, these are certainly memorable.. I still don't think they have the same emotional impact of VW commericals of the 90s. Those are classic.
