Tell Us Fly...
If the look of that Electra's what you're after, then you're well on your way: she's already got an Electra right front fender!

If Only I had The Money....
I had an '89 for a while; they're pretty neat cars with some unique features, but I dunno that I'd pay anything close to what the bidding's up to for one. Why not just take the amount the auction ends at and spend it on a nice presentable driver '66?
-
Is it strange?
I'd rather replace with older cars. For example, if my '77 Coupe DeVille were to some day turn into a '59, that would be fine with me. Also, after owning and driving a '96 Riviera for two and a half years I'd definitely like to now own any Riviera made before 1973. New cars suck.

It Was Love At First Sight
It's a gorgeous car with a very tasteful look, but ten grand for a two-door Delta with special stickers? Faaaaaaaaaaaack THAT! A super faded but rock-solid one in Arizona went for $800 on eBay last year amongst a million other cars from the same seller that was a salvage yard that was closing its doors. All the vehicles had super cheap Buy It Now prices as the leftovers were to be crushed. New paint and decals and a dash pad and you're off to the races for thousands less than this one. Know what other pace car I love from this era besides this Delta? The 1976 Buick Century pace car. Only 1290 made; I'd love to come across one some day and pick it up if the price was reasonable!

Anyone have experience with B-Body Eighty-Eights?
Six bills and it isn't already sitting in your driveway?! Buy this thing like yesterday, dude!

My AI Top 4-Actual Top 4- Tuesday Finale Summary
........ does anybody care? The only thing more pathetic than watching American Idol is analyzing and writing about the installment of American Idol you just watched. You sound like a chick.

Your unattainable dream cars
I'm still holding out for my Brewster-bodied 1915 Crane-Simplex roadster. This is the only one ever made and God bless whoever saved it. As for other dream cars: -any other Simplex -any American Underslung -any Duesenberg -any Auburn -any Pierce-Arrow, especially those made before 1934, and double especially a 1916 Model 66 (largest stock engine ever put in a passenger car: 825 cubic inches for those of you keeping score at home) -any Senior Packard made before World War II -1932 Packard Light Eight coupe-roadster with dual sidemounts -my friend Robert's 1932 Studebaker President coupe-roadster aaaaaaaaaaand about a million more Classics from the pre-war era. Far too many to ever list here.

Two-wheeled transportation
I've been toying with the idea of buying an old coworker's 1970 BMW R75/5 for quite some time now and just may pull the trigger if gas prices go completely insane

5 Minutes after I leave the barbershop today, BOOM!
..... well uhhh in that case, GO CADILLAC!!
-
Driver's Ed vid, circa 1976
I took driver's ed and my road test in a ballin' dark blue '01 Cavalier

5 Minutes after I leave the barbershop today, BOOM!
How fast did the dude in the Mazda have to be going to do that to the Cadillac and still have the momentum to go through the corner of the building? Jesus Christ, that's like one of the worst and most f@#ked up accidents I've ever seen.
-
Another pillarless hardtop question
I'll guess 1965

Driver's Ed vid, circa 1976
Watching that '64 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight fall into the crusher at the end makes me sad

93 Eldorado
Don't buy a front wheel drive Eldorado if it was made after 1970 unless it's a phenomenal deal that you can flip and make a good profit to get a real car with.

April Showers bring out the Classics... in MAY!
-80's Ferrari 308 GTS just like Magnum P.I.'s car -1974ish Ford Country Squire wagon on Torq-thrust II's, looked pretty cool -Hugger Orange w/white SS stripes '69 Camaro, had a pro-touring look to it but done EXTREMELY well and tasteful

April Showers bring out the Classics... in MAY!
Saw a ton of neat stuff while driving around the area and in Boston with the girl today: -1950 Studebaker pickup -1961 Ford Thunderbird -1964 Ford Thunderbird -1927 Model T roadster (hot rod) -1972 Buick Electra Estate Wagon -1965 Buick Electra 225 -2 brand new Z06's -fairly new Aston Martin Vanquish -brand new Viper and, perhaps the best of all, some old man drove his Honda Civic up onto the curb at about 30 MPH and his tire exploded! It was hilarious!

Knightfan is Gonna Hate Me
He's absolutely right, though. But hey, it's still a HUGE step up from some $h!ty 90's Skylark
-
April Fool's CAR SPOTTING
The highlight of the day was one of those ridiculous-looking Camaro-based Avantis from the 90's. And every Charger I saw today had its rescue donut mounted which I thought was odd.

best of craigslist.
Somebody needs to permanently archive that in some sort of hall of fame like yesterday

Bought a 77 Cutlass Supreme on Ebay
Joking?!? You know as well as I do that if I had $400 extra to spare aside from the money I'm trying to scrape together for a certain special Buick I've lusted after that that '77 Cutlass would already be parked in front of my house. It is to me what your stupid-ass Datsuns are to you Here's a pic of my first (because I have a funny feeling it won't be my last) '77 Cutlass Supreme sedan on location in York Beach, Maine. The one I know of now is white one with a blue steel roof and a blue interior; I figure I've already had the fire chief's car so why not go for the cop car! Don't ask me why but I'm definitely drawn to these ugly old tanks. It'd be a riot to have another.

Should I Buy This?
f@#k that dude, buy my Riviera. You've gotten PMs about it..... any thoughts?
-
A few of the Auction cars at Carlisle
I would definitely give my left nut for that carved panel hearse; how much did it end up going for?
-
Narrowed down the possible third member of the fleet
Fly, I'll sell you my Riviera right now if you want. I'm serious.

April Fool's CAR SPOTTING
-'72 Nova two-door -'73 Nova two-door -'67 Barracuda -'70 Sedan DeVille -'48 Chevy sedan delivery (very awesome) -some $h!ty 80's Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow or whatever -the nicest '68 442 I've seen in a long time Yes, it was no match for my tired old 429 with massive exhaust leaks, a lethargic off-the-shelf parts store Edelbrock, and my chain-driven split Turbo 400. Check and mate.
