No, not yet! Being the stellar vehicle the '08CTS is, ( I know, I bought one!) plus the fantastic new Malibu, MT didn't have alot of choice. The Accord would be the only other contender and I don't believe it's a "Game Changer" which is one of the requirements of the COT. We'll see how things go with some of the others, but I still believe comparing this car to the 3 series is wrong for a number of reasons. Anyway, I knew I made the right choice as a place holder till my Camaro comes out!!

Hopefully this isn't a new feature, GM vehicles have had this for years!

Personally, I don't know why some people are talking about why they like the Vibe so much better than the Matrix. They both look very Japanese Blob-like to me. Anyone that looks at this and actually thinks this is a Pontiac design doesn't follow the auto industry or know much about cars. To me it looks like Toyota said, Ok, Here it is, tweak it like you like, but NOT TOO MUCH, we arn't going to retool the whole plant for you, oh and by the way, here's the interior, you don't get to change that...I hope it does sell because if nothing else it will help Pontiac's bottom line, but unfortunately, it will help proliferate Toyota's bland designs too and to me at least it does nothing for Pontiac's, and GM's resurgence. Just my .02 .

Probably, Profit! Toyota knows that it can sell anything here with a Sombraro on the grille and the flock will buy it no matter what! That might be starting to slowly change, but for now, the platform/body had been paid for eons ago so they probably just figured they'd milk out a couple more years of profit from the old platform, the stupid Americans will never notice!

That may be the Coupe Grille. I read somewhere, here?, that the coupe wasn't going to have as many verticle bars...

Unless I've missed something, The CTS is the only car with a tower brace that actually is styled to look like something nice instead of just some ugly black pole stuck in there.

Actually, that's not the CTS's cover, at leat the new one's. I'm at work so I can't post it, but IMO it looks better than either of those.

I would hardly call "Alluminized Composite" Authentic. Sounds like fake carbon fiber to me!!

I owned an '06 IS250 and I can tell you, my '08 CTS's interior blows that thing away!! The IS's inside rear-view mirror vibrated badly when the sunroof was open, love that build/structural quality!! The plastic on the door grip had hard edges (something GM would be cruisified for by the automotive press)! And how about that fake carbon fiber they are using on the doors and console that Inside line is praising as a nice break?!! Something else the domestics would be ridiculed for! At least this wasn't a glowing review!

I agree. When I first saw the headline I was like, Why? But I guess if it helps GM get some of the development money back and helps another AMERICAN automaker at the same time I guess I'm for it. Ford needs all the help it can get at this point with its lackluster line-up and not that much in the pipeline that looks promising.

They all have chrome. I did get the chrome wheels though.

I am the happy owner of a 3 week old Sky Redline. I looked and drove a GXP and liked it but the Sky's styling inside and out is why I bought it. GM could've easily put a bowtie in place of the Saturn Badge and had a mini corvette. The car's performance is awesome! People stare at it and ask about it all the time. It's funny to see the confused look on peoples face when they realize it's a Saturn so I think the car is doing it's job for Saturn. I live in Pensacola, Fl, and had to drive to Tallahassee to get mine, (I didn't want to wait the 4 mos to order) Nobody from Shreeveport, LA to Atlanta had one, nobody in Alabama, or Mississippi and I looked all the way to Gainsville Fl and even they didn't have one. I got what I wanted, 3 pedals, monsoon, chrome wheels etc and couldn't be happier with it.

Sorry, I didn't think it would be buried in "Meet the GM Family>Chevrolet Cars" I would have thought something this significant would be front page news. Why are all the competitions concepts on the front page? My point exactly.....

I can't believe this is even a thread! C&G needs to get with it. GM inside news already has a link to insideline.com that has an article and pictures of the new '08 Malibu posted. It's great. This is an old, by three months, rendering by Motor Trend guessers! C&G used to update everything almost as fast as GMinside news but not anymore. This site was much better when Josh ran it!
