That's Malibu, Ventura, and Los Angeles CA for you ladies and gents; I love those places for thier wonderful natural presence. These Saabs are sweet. I love that Saab consistently updates thier cars with subtle changes, like slightly changed wheels. Saab is always on the cutting edge of interior and exterior design trends.

Looks terrific. I love how everything is slanted slightly rearward for a much sleeker, more refined look. It's a sophisticated look, and the wheels complement it really well. It's just a million times better than the previous one. The fenders are a similar shape but are more rounded and flow into the wheelhouses better.

RWD is neutrality, it is balanced, and it is poised. Those that are trying to push that RWD is only advantageous in extreme handling; I'm really not sure where you're coming from with that. RWD is just more neutral and balaned. Any FWD car I get into feels more top-heavy, less easy to point and go, and has more body roll. The car that has had the best compromise between handling and ride quality I've ever driven has been RWD.

It's like he took the words right out of my mouth. I'm so glad that GM execs are finally saying the right things and seem to really get this "brand" thing and the potential they had under thier noses all along (Buick and Pontiac especially). I'm not so keen on what he says about Hummer and Saab, which is basically nothing at all. Their are plenty of ingenious things to do with both, and how about this for a basic truth: don't bring something out that doesn't totally fit the brand, don't waste the money and time on a product that is just a rehash or that will kill the brand value. Hummer needs to look like big pyramids, big fortresses, big stone edifices that are indestructible, big and imposing. That's what they need to stay like. I've been seeing quite a few H3s around and while they are nice cars, I am convinced they are not what Hummer needs to be. Hummer shouldn't chase volume, they should chase Rover, only be extreme. Large, in your face, as they are already, just build on it. Make a shortened H2, or a different version of the H3 that weighs as much as the H3 for economy reasons but with taller styling. Make it a big brick building. That's really what brands are all about, i know Honda gets it, and so does BMW, and so does MB. They understand what their brand means to people and they will only release products that fulfill those missions. Okay that rant is over, this was a very good read and good to hear.

Could be competitive, very generic, not thoroughly modern, even below the newest offerings from Koreans for design modernity. The interior looks right out of a Hyundai. Looks high quality, definitely a danger.

Ya, I think it looks really good and does a good job of freshening the design, much much better than what was there before.

This is one wagon I'd love to drive! (Well maybe there are a few more) It's a really dynamic looking car, and the taillights, while disappointing that they had to change, still look good even in red. I just love the sporty look of it all.

I have nothing a big smile on my face reading all the replies. Glad to see it back, totally agree with Fly about the productive lives comment, and well I gave it a 9 cause it was all sort of overwhelming at first, the new look, the lack of discussions, but I am just so glad it's back. I cheated once or twice only :unsure:

This new Civic should set the standard yet again for small cars. The interior looks great! Made of high quality materials and adventorous in design. I really like the above steering wheel, but the other two-spoke one, well I hope that's just for the hybrid, cause it's pretty wierd. I still don't like the design, but it's gotten a lot better, and the two door is very sweet. Cobalt will be, sadly, left behind. It will have to sell on value, yet again a case of GM being too short-sighted to really engineer and design the hell out of a vehicle. This interior looks very well made and fits in perfectly with the market it is appealing to. This will be the best car in the class easily. And rear seat space should improve on the old Civic (which is better than the Cobalt already) since it's gonna get bigger.
