Which CAR body style would you rather drive?
I've enjoyed owning a sedan, but I prefer the look over the practicality... so as practical as this sedan is, I love coupes and nothing will ever make me change that opinion.

A friend asked me this question
A true Eclipse GSX Eagle Talon Stealth / 3000GT, both true to their roots Supra S2000 Thunderbird (I like the idea of making it a true Corvette competitor once again) I'd say a Gran Torino, but I like the Taurus a lot and that's exactly what the Gran Torino would be.

Choppin' Competition #52 -- Chevrolet Cruze SS
You have something yet, DF? I started mine last night, it should be done soon I'm hoping... Maybe I'll send PMs to the designers on the board and try to get more people to participate!

Automotive bears and bulls
Buick and Chevrolet are definitely moving up. I'd split Ford and say only Ford is moving up, Mercury is moving down, and Lincoln is staying still.

Cool Craigslist find
Speaking of old cars, does Sixty8 still frequent the boards?

Spied! Subaru's new RWD coupe
You mean, like these?

One arrives...
Of that list, I'd opt for the Deville or a Regal / Century.

My apology, post edited. You're correct that it is not a subcompact. My mind was elsewhere...

NOS has a "New" Car...
Back from the dead... Nope, car's not finished. I run into minor things I don't like about it here and there... Suspension's not as tight as I'd like it, so I'm fixing that with some struts, springs, and sway bars in the summer Tranny has a real nice grind upshifting/downshifting into 2nd (well, I did buy a Dodge...). A rebuild kit costs over $500, plus installation. My fix? Bought an SRT drivetrain out of a wrecked '04 with 33k miles. Total swap will cost around $3-4k with full exhaust and a couple modifications (fuel system, bigger intercooler, etc.), minus what I will make from selling my OEM parts The cheapo tires I put on it "just to get me by" aren't quite cutting it in the snow, so I'll have to get a set of winter tires and summer tires (on aftermarket 17s). Other minor gripes I can't think of right now too...

So damn sad
Yay, make cuts to the industry I'm going into. FU once more, current US administration.

Not Exactly a Project Car, but..
So you buy a new house and have to give up the car and buy a bicycle, eh?

Design Competition #3 - Chevy's EVO / STi Killer
Welcome to Design Competition #3! Many people have complained that the American Big Three do not offer anything like the Subaru Impreza WRX STi or Mitsubishi EVO, and it's a very valid point. People want that extra get-up-and-go from AWD. Add in a turbocharged engine, and you get rocket-like acceleration off the line and through every apex. Currently there are no cars in the GM lineup that have these qualities, and this is what we want you to change... We want you to design a brand new compact sedan that will comfortably seat four but has a look even meaner than its power. We want this car to intimidate any competition even before the turbo spools and the clutch is dropped. Pushing 300 HP and 320 ft-lbs of torque through its advanced AWD system is already going to blow the doors off the competition, but we aren't stopping there. You never know, you might even find yourself revving up next to a GT-R in this car one day, so the goal is to tame Godzilla before the key even gets turned. Show us your skill and creativity and may the best designer win! Using any method you choose, you must design a Chevrolet to take on all AWD turbocharged sedans! --------------------------------------------- Some Picture Sources... -Serious Wheels -Net Car Show -See below for directions to access AutoDeadline Entries must be 800x600. Choppin' Competition #52 -- Chevrolet Cruze SS
Welcome to Choppin' Competition #52! Chevrolet came out with the sleek, supercharged Cobalt SS in 2005 and showed the world that it could compete with some of the best compact tuner cars in the world. They upped the ante in 2009 when they added a set of Brembo brakes, sport-tuned suspension, form-fitting race seats, and a turbocharged engine. This car came out of the gate and earned the title of the fastest production FWD car to lap the Nurburgring. However, the Cobalt has been replaced by the Cruze, with nothing really being mentioned of an SS variant. This is where you come in... Your task is to turn the Chevrolet Cruze into a Super Sport compact tuner with looks to match its extraordinary performance. Whether it’s a sedan, hatchback, or coupe when you’re done with it, be sure to give your Cruze SS an the edge on the competition. You may only use the Chevrolet Cruze as your base picture. --------------------------------------------- Some Picture Sources... -Net Car Show -See below for directions to access AutoDeadline Entries must be 800x600. 2011 Buick Regal CXL: $26,995
Are AWD and manual transmissions available on these base models? Also, does anybody know the difference between the GS's engine and the CXL's engine? Is it just a tune that made the CXL's power ratings smaller and MPGs higher?

NAIAS '10 Photographs & Slight Review
haha Yeah, I was a little confused by that. I was like, come on now man, I know you're smarter than that!

2011 Buick Regal CXL: $26,995
That's pretty good pricing, and I didn't expect such good MPG ratings. I wish I were in the market because I'd be getting a GS, although I still agree that they screwed it up by not having the 2.8L in it. But that's alright because the LNF stage kits are more than sufficient.
