Threw a rod in my Camaro's Series II (III? lol) due to poor intake manifold/plenum design, allowing coolant to burn through gasket and leak down into oil and seize the bearing. My dad had a leased GP with a Series III that burnt oil like crazy between changes. He took it in a few times for them to check it out and they claimed to not be able to find anything wrong... I wish you better luck than us!
