Lincoln News: Quiet Flight 2040, The New Luxury Lincoln of the 21st Century
How do you figure? IC or BE can go into multiple vehicles... the body construction and all the unique parts is what makes the bulk of a 'Lincoln swoopy coupe' production costs; it's no "easier' and just as expensive to build. The issue isn't motive power, it's the on-life-support coupe market.

Lincoln News: Quiet Flight 2040, The New Luxury Lincoln of the 21st Century
I pity you if you get the same sort of amorphous, new-age, 'envision the reimagined future' garbage as prattled on about in the first video above.

Lincoln News: Quiet Flight 2040, The New Luxury Lincoln of the 21st Century
• Can you imagine dealing with that blooming onion of corporate bullshit as a designer?? Holy crap. • Don't care for the 'Neo-classic' coupe proportions above; they're largely terrible, not remotely production-possible and it's riding like a Jeep. This is not a future for Lincoln (or anyone).

^ You're still going to need to upgrade the suspension & brakes (for the greatly increased weight). Brembos, or be branded a luddite! ?

^ Or 79K miles. LOTS of scenarios... not sure why you cherry-picked the lowest number (actually; I am, of course).

Will Competition Destroy Tesla?
But down from the peak of $900. Everyone who bought in from $700-900 is sweating right now. Zero dividends, meanwhile.

Some folk are resistant to change / progress. Leading edge tech is where it's at, and well worth it. Upgrade every vehicle in the driveway, immediately; one-sided piston calipers are obsolete.

There's the pad sliders (stainless 'pad clips'), and the caliper pins ('guide pins' that join the caliper to the bracket). It's likely the guide pins- they corrode up and stick. That would support the hydraulics pushing the caliper outward as a fixed unit. Discs are strange conceptually in one regard; hydraulics really only apply pressure to one (the inner side) and simple physics draw the outer pad in to equalize the pressure. One would think a system that put pistons on both sides would have been utilized.

Will Competition Destroy Tesla?
Interesting analysis on Tesla stock, for those who think the current share price is indicative of everything :

Has been my experience that the inner pads always wear faster than the outers. I no longer trust looking at the outer pads alone (of course- you can't see the inners with the wheel on).

Dad picked up a brand new Encore GX, white. I like the red accents on it. Traded in their Cruze sedan, nothing wrong with it and the miles were still pretty low (in the 50s), but wanted something with a little more room... and height.
