No, I'm on the MI/IN border. I am currently restoring a '68 also. Had some extra parts that could've helped you out with fixing the damage but it looks like you got it back to good! Good luck with the project. Am just starting mine.

After sitting in F150's at the auto show and on dealers lots, I will say it is a neat interior design... BUT... fit and finish and material quality is not up to par. And the seats don't support that well. I have no doubt that when seeing the Tahoe in person that it will view to be a much nicer and better interior than the F150. Even comparing the '05 Chevy's to the F150 at the auto show, the GM's seemed to have a bit better fit and finish than the F150.

I have a question, is the 6 speed tranny really that much better? Where are the comparison's between a 4 speed and 6 speed in identical vehicles and motors? The only thing I could see where the 6 speed would be better is maybe for towing. As far as the extra 500lbs of the vehicle, that will be nice when towing, although the amount of these used for towing vs getting milk will likly be slim. In which it would have been nice to have kept it around 5k lbs for fuel economy.

I've heard that the Avy will be the same but the Pickup's will be different.

Looks nice and clean, really like the interior! Just was hoping to see a console shifter in leiu of the column shift.

That's sharp! I like the body line off the front fender. What are the wheels from? Or did you rework the originals that were on it?
