GM and Chrystler should've been halfway through normal bankruptcy already. But now he's got his hands in control of 2 major US companies, all to save the UAW.

So be it, I won't be there. Not going to pay $800 on 2 round trip tickets plus hotel, food and time off work just to see some cars that I can see on the dealers lots within a month or two of the show.

No. Absolutly not. Move it in the Detroit area but out of downtown would be fine. If the weather's an issue, have it in Sept. or early Oct. The next years models are out by then anyway. Moving it out of Detroit to LA would be like having a Napa Valley wine tasting event in France. We go there every year, didn't make the last one because I tweeked my ankle pretty hard the day before and couldn't really walk.

I feel the same exact way. I'm still chompin at the bit whether or not I should sell the '68 camaro in it's unfinished current state for a new Camaro SS. You know any future plans of it will be canceled, and even the life of the current model may be cut short. At least we still have Ford.

Unbelievable. Well, this is the end of it all. "Sell" off all other brands so they become competiters. I have never seen such incompantance as Obama and his administration has. He has done more damage to this country in a couple months time than anybody has ever done in the past 200+ years. I can't even imagine what's going to happen in the next year let alone another almost 4 years. It can't come fast enough. Sure glad Ford has improved as much as they have in the last few years, cause we'll all likley be driving them very soon.

I was forunate enough to have been there about 8 years ago. Was in the bay area for work and on the weekend I drove out to Yosemite for the day. 4 hours each way. Was November, color in the trees in the valley and snow at higher elevations. Had a '91 Syclone for about 4 yrs from '97 to '01. Had a lot of fun with it. It was truley a unique vehicle.

Smart move! I've thought this for years after driving bottom of the line domestics when renting cars in the past.

GM-volt.com noted Toyota sales down 39% for March. I do not have any other info at this time.

Malibu is doing good, I think it sold more than it did last month. No suprise to me the G6 did better than Cobalt, it's a lot more car (and nicer car) for right about the same money.

He shouldn't have to work for a buck. He just got into CEO position. Let's see how he pans out in the next couple months.
