GM searches for 200,000 mile club
Hell my father has 3 Silverados with an excess of 200k on them. Well, one is a GMC , the other 2 are Silverados. All 3 have been great trucks, only routine maintenance have been done on them. Personally, my 91 S-10 I sold back in 02 had 265k on it, and the only major things I replaced on it was the radiator and the alternator. Besides that, everything else was regular maintenance. My current 03 S-10 which I bought in october of 02 has 103 k on it already and I've had zero problems.

Penske going to GM? Thats the word at the track
Dont see it happening. Penske is too much of a risk IMHO. He has sported so many different manus in so many series its kinda akward. I would see him as somone who might just be careless enough to accidentally slip something out to somone by accident at another company. He races Hondas in the IRL, Dodges in NASCAR, and I think races a Lexus or Porsche in one of the sport car series. I can't remember which one though. That, and he hasnt had anything to do with a GM backed product since 94 when switched from Grand Prixs to Ford Thunderbirds in Cup. Claiming that GM didnt give enough support to the Pontiac effort and to him particularly. And if I remember back then, he seemed particularly sore at GM and having a general disdain for GM after that. Besides that, the only other thing I can think of is when he had a Aurora/Chevy engine in his IRL cars for that one season. However everyone did because it was such a better platform than the Infiniti one. However when Honda and Toyota came knocking on the IRL's door, he jumped instantly.

Where would GM be without UAW
Both sides make some dumb moves. Now they have to deal with the cards they dealt each other and come up with something, and something that works.

Lutz Says GM Is Over the Worst
I agree. It refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is and not hold back. He is the type of guy who instills confidence in the company.

sema
Ick. Chevy needs to abandon the super thick center cross bar idea. Just makes the front end of a vehicle look all funky.

- Two part question
1984 F-150 4x4 XLT when I was 8. Truck was a POS. Had the beautiful wondering suspension and two feet of play in the steering wheel. My father said if anyone could take the thing past 70 without wrecking, they could drive anything... I took it to 100mph when I was about 15 on a long stretch of pavement on this abandoned road on some property we owned. Didnt wreck, but she was all over the place. Truck was a POS. Our 76 F-150 Ranger was a much better truck. Put about 800k on it. Only thing every changed was the oil, batteries, and the belts. Still has the factory carb, starter and etc on it.- Confessions of a Slovakian
Believe me, I wanted to but I let my common sense take over. I really have no need for a 4wd truck at this time as I dont live on the Farm with my father and family anymore. The times I go hunting I am usually with him so I dont need the 4wd truck since he has 3 4x4 Chevys. So I decided to keep my Xtreme as my vehicle and wait for the Camaro. Plus only 12 months left of payments so It aint so bad to wait.- Confessions of a Slovakian
Burn him!! He has abandoned the cause of RWD!!! Actually, I've been thinking about a G6 coupe myself. If I didnt have only a year left on my current loan, I would've already bought one. However the bright side is that when I pay off the truck, I'll have some cashola left for the Camaro when it comes out I almost bought a truck we have here at work that was repoed the other day. 2003 GMC Extended cab, Duramax, full loaded 4wd HD. But I decided against it. However a diesel would be sweet.- GMT900 truck rendering and information
I agree. We've been using HD GM trucks with the IFS setup for years on our farm. We consisently beat the crap out of the trucks and have yet to have a suspension failure yet. Nothing is fool proof however, I'm sure there have been a few cases where one was beat to death and eventually failed or one broke fresh from the factory because of some fluke. However I've seen my fair share of broken front axels on the oldschool HD setup of previous generation work trucks too.....- Car air freshioner
I like to use sheets of Bounce fabric sheets. You know the sheets you put in your dryer to make your clothes smell good and eliminated static? I put one on the top of each sunvisor and I put one under each seat in my truck. Hidden and not as tacky as a tree or something hanging from your mirror.- GMT900 truck rendering and information
That looks pretty good!- The Wierdest Phone Call. Period.

Teacher Tang!!! Man where was she when I was 14- Any 07 Impala changes you'd like to see?
I'd like to see better exterior styling, rwd, and direct injection V6 offered.- Very sad...
One of the last few planes designed for actual dog fighting. It will be missed. Shame its getting replaced by a slower plane not designed for dog fighting, the Hornet. What's really sad is Im hearing "We dont need planes anymore that can dogfight, we can shoot a target from many miles away now" Yea thats nice and all but many seem to forget the debacle of the F4 Phanton. It had no onboard cannon for close combat and would out turned in low level altitude fights agains the Vietcong Migs in Vietnam. I hope for some of our pilots sakes, the military realizes that dog fighting will come up sooner or later in aerial combat.- The New Tundra
Looks like this time, they copied the Dodge Ram front end and flipped the headlights upside down. The way Toyota shaped the rear of the cab as well reminds me of Dodges Quad Cab models. Overall, bigger truck, still ugly as sin IMHO.- Astrology, what is your sign?
Scorpio here. Sometimes the stuff is pretty accurate, but most of the time its not. I look at the horoscope every now and then for fun, but I hardly follow it.- Cologne
It's quite pungent... It burns the nostrils... I wear Drakkar Noir, and I have bottle full of Aqua D Gio I think the name is. Only reason I have that crap is because of my ex gf. - Two part question
