As I said on Cz28, why would a preproduction car have dealer plates?

Charlie, do you have confirmation that is what it is? Just curious, it seems right though.
  3. I hope they don't. The US Media will have their field day, the import humpers will claim they said it was coming and long overdue. There may even be a final "GM Deathwatch." But in the end it really doesn't matter. If GM was more concerned w/ production numbers than Profit they could probably ratchet out more than enough vehicles to cover the increases by Toyota but it doesn't matter. Profit and the long term health of the brands/company are what is important and I am glad they see that.Lets just see GM Execs say "Congrats, now can we move on?"
  4. It looks REALLY LONNNNNG. But it also looks good. Should prove to be rather nice. I do wonder if the Midgate will be possible/optional on this. It could prove a good selling point. Have you heard anything about that Chris?
  5. I think that timing will prove to be the key factor here. I think when the G8 comes to the US for assembly it will free up export room for the Ute. Until then I wouldn't expect there to be production room at the St. Elizabeth plant for any Ute exports. Also given that the G8 would come to the US it would likely get a new nose, and more. So I don't think people will be complaining about the Ute and G8 looking alike.
  6. Because it is the right thing to do. If that was your car getting pounded wouldn't you want someone to say something?
  7. Or a speeding shopping cart for that matter.
  8. Why did you not ask her to not bash the door of the car next to her? Or ask her if she was leaving her insurance information?
  9. Is that official or rumor?
  10. Either 225 cu in V8 225" in length
  11. The drawing in the upper right has me pretty intrigued. It has a 30s feel to it. Almost like an open wheel car, very Prowler like and that is a good thing.
  12. Neither but I do look like the mailman. I look like my maternal grandfather when he was my age. My brother looks like a younger version of my dad.
  13. Domestic: DTS (207" for regular and 211" for L) Japanese: Lexus LS460-L (202") Europe: Maybach 62 (243") on high end and Jaguar XJ8-L on low end (205")
  14. I am thinking the same thing. Especially since Summer is here. Heck it would be a good workout to boot.

  16. I found just the guy for it!
  17. Well messing around in phohochop shows the car is a WB whereas the current Ute is a LWB. The rear overhang is longer but only a couple of inches. Phothochop coming using a SS-V base.
  18. I think more pics/larger pics will help us decide. What we can see is from very small pics and we may be missing some things, especially on the interior.
  19. Did we get video when we heard it?

    Honey I shrunk the Camry!
  21. Rodeo. It is built along side the D-Max in Thailand IIRC.
  22. TE=Theta Epsilon.
  23. Sigh... Then why did GM continue to make it AFTER the book was published and the federal investigation was finished.GM killed the Corvair because while popular at first it just wasn't as economical as the front engined vehicles. No the Fiero was killed because of inter company competition and over production. The market was saturated after the first couple of years.
