The cuisnart one looks badass. I had a toaster oven with a hotdog roller on it in college. I miss it.

The Fleetwood...
I would look for a mechanic who knows about B-bodies and B-body cadillacs in particular. He will be able to tell you whats wrong from just basic explanations. With my pontiac, i take it to a guy who worked at the pontiac dealer and he has the problem diagnosed before i can even shut the hood on the car.

The Fleetwood...
Didn't you take out a loan to get the Fleetwood? I don't think you would be able to sell it for as much as you bought it for, unless you are willing to be very patient. I would suggest keeping the Cadillac and saving the car payment and if you have to repair or replace something, it will be way cheaper in the long run. Just imagine not having a 400 a month car payment = 4,800 a year in savings!

The Regal Buick Returns!
SMK, all the engines that are downsizing have the same power if not more than the engines they are replacing. With better economy.

The way I'm looking at the shift gate, if he were to push it up, it wouldn't go into N, it has to be a diagonal up. Lets say he pushed it up and couldn't get it back around into neutral in enough time after he realized his mistake? Shift gates are too complicated. In the toyota van I drove, I had a hell of a time finding D.

Your pedal is stuck, you have screaming kids in the car, your brakes are on fire. Tell me, where is neutral? If you fail, how do you correct it to find neutral?

Balloon Boy
Here is what I'm thinking is going to be the end result: 6 years probation for both husband and wife. 100,000 restitution (likely to be paid by TV network and written off as advertising for "mad scientist") Although i would much rather see a show called "Daddy's in jail" This kid will forever be known as balloon boy too. Epic.

If I were to build a Computer
Hackintosh? I would be curious to just read about how to build one. Our tech guys run a dual boot dual screen macs at their office with VMware on it. One screen mac one screen windows. Pretty cool.

Here is the main reason why I like it: I never have to take the key fob out of my pocket. No need to unlock the doors, just pull on the handle and it opens for me. No need to put the key in the ignition just push a button. I guess part of this comes from my bus driving days. No keys in transit buses either. Just turn the knob and push the button.

I like push-button start but it certainly needs to be explained to somebody renting a car or buying a car with that feature installed.

Car Audio
Alright, update on the saga, I guess when I do install the thing, I should move into project car. After great consideration and review, I had Crutchfield help me with picking out the speakers to match the deck that I wanted and here is what I ended up with: Alpine Deck Has USB, AUX, and bluetooth already installed. I think it can be red and I can control my ipod from it. It also has plenty of power for my speakers. Rear Deck Speakers Front Door Both speakers are 4ohms. I got a haynes guide and all the tools I need and I think I will be installing in two weeks.

Alpine CDE-103BT That is what I'm looking at. ALso, what is the deal with this 2ohm, how do i know what speakers will blow up the deck?
-
Car Audio
I guess I should ask is it typical for the amp in the unit to be powerful enough for 4 aftermarket speakers to replace the 4 main speakers in my car.

Car Audio
I know nothing. I have an old Sony deck that's about 8 years old and my speakers are worn out in my car. I want to get new speakers to just replace my OEM ones and a new deck with USB connection and AUX jack for my ipod and sirius. anybody have suggestions? Also, if the lights can be red, it would be helpful to match my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT Sedan

Two Airbag questions
Airbags save far more lives than they cost. Steering wheels and dashboards from the 80s kill people and don't save people.

AC compressor noise
Just replaced the AC compressor in our 98 chevy truck. The clutch was locking up as well. GM has a new design on the AC units that is greatly improved over the ones originally in these cars.
