I think we should switch to Italian names. Being that the the Zeta platform is one of the world platforms, they should have called the Pontiac version the "Tutto il Mondo", works for me and sounds so new and sophisticated and very European. Give up the Frenchy names and let's go Italian.

I have to laugh at your statement. Building a new heritage on G names that mean nothing and stand for even less? The only change that was needed was for Pontiac to have the balls it use to have and design and build its own RWD V8 instead of accepting the Holden clone lock, stock and barrel. Jesus, Pontiac just bent over over a spread them for Holden. That's not an image I want to be seen driving around in. Thanks, but no thanks!

There is a deep resentment thoughout the world aimed against the United States. Part of this is because we are the Top Dog in the world in so many ways. In Japan's case they lost face in the defeat of their armed forces by the United States in World War II, and by the having to accept US aid after the war to even survive on a daily basis. I agree with the article in general, but in my mind we are letting this happen to ourselves because we as Americans don't want to be seen in the world, as bad guys. Someday America will wake up and realize the world is not a safe place and other countries are out to do it harm not only Militarilly, but Economically as well, be it Japan's agressive trade policies or 30 million illegal aliens within our own borders. If I were president of the USA I could fix these things in about a month, by doing to the Japanese what they are doing to us by imposing the same trade policies on them as they impose on us and by securing our borders and deporting all illegals no matter where they are from and deploying the military along our southern border to make sure that border stays secure. Good thing I work for GM instead, huh?

God not me, the more I look at the G8 the more I hate it. I am going to get one of the last Grand Prix GXP's ever made. That way when everyone one else is driving their zeta clones, I will have something truely unique, that screams I am the Grand Prix and I don't care if you like my looks or not, because I am a true bitching Pontiac and not a Holden clone.
