  1. maybe we could do the same, with say, old people, or pizza delivery guys?
  2. Sly, I have that print hanging in my office. (although I am a huge RED WINGS fan) Everyone comments on how famous that picture is, and how amazing Bobby Orr was.

some people have too much time on their hands and more money than brains....
  4. they probably won't do anything - i know a dealership won't fire you for smashing two of their cars into each other - trust me, i KNOW
  5. I only exclusively date men, but then me being a woman that makes me hetero. I have some very close friendships with gay men, i think that if the sexual tension is gone, the friendship is closer (does that make sense?)
  6. I don't know what your dealership will do for you, but its been my experience that the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Whenever we sell a car (I'm talking new here) we KNOW that you can only tint so dark, limo tint is illegal on a car. So we only will tint 17%, in order to avoid paying tickets for people that get caught. I would suggest that you go to your dealership and raise some holy hell. They should cover your ticket and retint your windows free of charge. If they'll cover your ticket, but won't retint, just wait until you bring them the next ticket. They'll have they set a precedent by paying your ticket, so if no free tinting this time, the next for sure. Be sure and stress the point that they probably sell 100+ cars a month, you buy one, what? every 3-4 years?? so you were relying on their expertise in this situation... As for you having the car inspected or whatever, we sell our used cars safetied, emission tested, and hand you your ownership when you come in. The customer never has anything inspected, or even goes to the license bureau. Interestingly enough, 35% is our lightest, 23% our medium tint, 17% our dark. Funny how this stuff changes from region to region. (I'm in Ontario, Canada). Even dumber observation, if I were to drive through your area with my 17% tint cars, would i be pulled over? just wondered.... Let us know what happens.
  7. I really have no feelings about the car one way or the other, however I must compliment HarleyEarl on the beautiful use of the phrase "What the Sam Hill?" >>> totally digging that phrase, as a matter of fact, I'm going to make a point to use that phrase all day! Thanks!! :)
  8. The Ford Probe was actually and very intentionally designed for women. It had been tested to provide easier reaching for the controls on the console, a slight dip in the floor so it didn't wreck the backs of heels, and bigger controls on the steering column so that females wouldn't break a nail. I read the article on its design years ago, and now everytime I see one, the "chick car" image comes to mind.
  9. First of all, Paolino, I've missed you! Good to see you again! The Pontiac Torrent is a dream to drive. Our first one arrived two days ago, black on black. My take, easy to handle, smooth ride, just enough acceleration, decent interior space, good cornering. Not going to revolutionize the SUV market by any means or set the world on fire, but NOT an embarassing entry on Pontiac's part. Definitely a nicer engine for gas mileage purposes. All in all, I would absolutely like to scoop one for my next demo. Receives :) :) :) :) :) :) :) / 10 :) on the stace'o'meter

I actually saw what i think would be the ultimate in scooter embarassment. One day last summer I was cutting grass at my parent's house on their riding lawnmower, and this guy riding by on a scooter waves to me. I waved back and watched him putt off up the road, thinking it would be kinda fun to own a scooter. About 45 seconds go by, and i hear this low rumble, like thunder - but no, its just a huge motorcycle gang, all on harleys, most of them wave, and i wave back but notice that they're quickly gaining on mr. scooter. they all went around him, respectfully, honking and waving. I just can't help but think that mr. scooter would have rather been anywhere but there at that moment! LOL oh well, i still think they're cute!! :)

    Enzora, you rock!
  15. the guy sounds absolutely laid back (and absolutely french) if you scroll down and read his description of the car and what he did to it. it says he's selling it cause he needs the money for another project - i for one cannot wait to see his lime green customized montana van, complete with hydraulic lift kit........ LOL

well, Mute, while all of that sounds totally logical apparently you forgot one big item. The guy friends tell me that you must leave a urinal between you and the next guy, even two if there are enough. One guy friend will go into a stall before he'll take the available urinal between two.....pi....people - HA! you guys thought i was gonna say pissers, didn't ya!? :P
  17. staceface replied to cmattson's topic in The Lounge
well, it was just one of those things i had noone to ask. sorta like the "urinal ettiquette" discussion i have with guy friends about once every 3 years :omfg:

Andy, I too agree with your outlook for FORD. They have such disappointing results - I really thought that Thunderbird was gonna set the world on fire, then I thought the Mustang might. Now keep in mind, I'm not reading statistics, or checking graphs, I'm just watching the same 11 Mustangs sit in the Ford dealership across the street on a daily basis.

i for one have missed your stupid rantings - why they're one of the things i look forward to first! LOL but i also miss soundgarden, the grand am GT, purple eyeshadow, smoking, and living at home, so what do i know?!? so sorry you start school so early - does everyone in the US start in August?? in canada, and this is good, right after labour day is the norm.
  23. hey, just on a conversational note, Mute you sound like the biggest boyfriend jackass in the world. :)

I am a HUGE stephen king fan, and while anorexorcist is correct, this is a damn good book - it didnt' involve the car enough. Not like another King classic, Christine. Now THAT was one scary bitch of a car!
