I'm in favor of basing the next TrailBlazer (call it whatever you want) on Lambda. While the current GMT-360s can tow well, it loses to unibody utes in categories like comfort, space, and weight, which are more important to 99% of prospective buyers.

C/D compared one to the new Explorer, and the Commander won by 2 points. I still prefer the Expy, though... the Commander is far too ostentatious. Or as C/D suggested, an Odyssey:

More to the point, I channel surfed CNN, MSNBC, FOX, and local news for half an hour today, and I couldn't find any coverage on the 53,000 dead from the East Asian earthquake.

http://www.cheersandgears.com/public/style_emoticons//AH-HA_wink.gif Just wait and see! (Actually, I have no idea what it looks like... :( )

At this point, they might as well take an SSR, replace the LS2 with an Atlas I6, make the roof fixed, give it cloth upholstery, sell it for $10K less, and call it the El Camino. Edit: Oh, and remove the bed cover.

    More... :P

I've been, too, primarily because single Prius drivers are hogging up our carpool lanes. Every time I see a yellow HOV sticker I get upset.

No, the lame-duck engines were retested, thus the drop in horsepower.
  9. pow replied to regfootball's post in a topic in Toyota
The Accord V6 (Odyssey and Pilot, too) horsepower went from 240 to 244, while the Accord I4 (Element and CR-V, too) horsepower went from 160 to 156. TL went from 270 to 258. Edit: Nevermind, the Accord I4 got a new engine for '06. It's now 166 horsepower. The Element and CR-V continue with the old engine.

All manufacturers are required to abide by the new SAE standards for new or redesigned engines. Honda and Toyota, on the other hand, retested all their engines, old or new. (Eww, I sound like an import {insert expletive here}.)
  11. Yep! Nice curvy roads, too.

Hey, at least they converted all their horsepower figures in accordance to the new SAE guidelines. GM only changed the ones to their favor, I believe. But, yeah, 210 to 190 hp is a huge difference.
  13. Interestingly, Ford gave the F-150 both column shifters and floor shifters.

Wonder when IIHS will be testing for axe-resistance:

Werd... I saw a beautiful black GTO today, which is still a rare car around here. As far as the Monaro, it's possible to convert a GTO into one. Only the bumper shell (which includes the grille), wheels, and badging are different. Was it left hand drive?
  16. Agreed... I'm all for making car interior atmospheres similar to lounges, living rooms, etc.
  17. V6-engined GCs, I think.

Yep, and Edmunds likes the ION Red Line.
  19. I thought a Mercedes-designed transmission would've cured Chrysler's tranny issues... guess not.
  20. And if you've got KeylessGo, that sensation of firing up your car with a shifter-mounted starter button.

I think it's cool... the proportions remind me of a Gallardo or something. Ditto the G6's.

$8.50/hr isn't even a living wage at all.

:omfg: I'm speechless... I'm in love with that interior. It makes the Sixteen's look boring, almost.

Or how about fitting the 5300 DoD V8 in the LaX? It shouldn't be difficult, since the GP GXP has it, and it'll add spice to an otherwise conservative car.
  25. It's $27,620 for a 2.0T and $33,620 for a 2.8T Aero, which is ~$2000 less than a comparable A4 Avant and 325xit.
