Pontiac G8: "Audi level interior"
***sigh*** I see your point. But hypothetically, with that mindset, I can also see how you could be another anti-GM person that is just unwilling to accept that the company can do something right. The Torrent is NOTHING like the G8. I'm pretty sure the G8 earned ALL of this praise. GM = an american company. Pontiac = an american brand (exclusive to North America) That's about as american as you can get this day in age IMO. 1) I never offered my opinion on the article. 2) The CONservative media is just as bad as the liberal media. Denying your texASS heritage now?

REPORT: US directs GM to prep for bankruptcy filing by 6/1
I still think the 5 core brands should be kept.... But I think we'll end up seeing either Chevy, Cadillac & Buick or Chevy, Cadillac, Buick and GMC. Why not go the extra mile and preserve Pontiac as a niche brand?

All this and much more from THE WASHINGTON POST!

Grab your tinfoil hats
My apologies... Maybe this should've been reserved for the politics section. Anyway, I didn't offer my opinion because I'm not sure what I think yet. This does scare me, for obvious reasons. However, I can also see where Obama could use it as a means for fixing A LOT of problems with our financial system. As for the article.. Yeah, it's definitely biased. So take it for what it's worth.

Sky going to Chevrolet?
I certainly hope not...

I love Politics!
a.k.a. I'm just a simpleton who doesn't know what it is to experience different cultures. LMFAO... Yeah, you don't throw stereotypes around at all. (As if I haven't traveled) It's this kind of elitest attitude that makes you seem so childish. It's like slapping around a school girl and watching her throw a tantrum. You hypocritical remarks show exactly why this country is in the state it's in. You're consumed by your own world and if people don't agree with it (even on a bb) you feel COMPELLED to keep try and keep them in check or run your mouth. It's the same condescending attitude that we had to deal with back when we were all admins and it's the same thing that inspires your responses against 'lesser' members here in other threads. I'll admit, my post was a cheap shot... But it's just SO.. DAMN... FUN! (I can't resist harassing sheltered people that have probably never had a hard days worth of work in their life)

I'm merely defending free speech. He asked for it with his smart-assed remarks (as always) As opposed to chastising someone for a simple purchase decision. (Example: you constantly belittling gm4life for his choice of driving an "Equinox with a Pontiac grille") P.S. Glad to see I struck a nerve with you (since you've brought this up in 2 threads now) that's exactly what my goal was.

Grab your tinfoil hats
Obama wants to control banks Think about this... Think about the line that says "punishing regions of the country"... Then think about the TN plant. To add more fuel to the WILD discussion that will inhabit this thread; most fundamentalist christians believe that the final anti-christ will control people via barcode and credit or money. I present this quote: DISCLAIMER: I am not offering my opinion on this piece... I merely think it's interesting and might make for interesting discussion.

It feels so Good ...
That's actually something I've put A LOT of thought into... At what point does it (school) get cancelled out by the amount of debt one acquires? I mean, sure I might have one helluva degree. But does it really benefit me if I'm 6 digits in the hole and having to make 2-3 monthly payments? Next fall I plan to enter grad school (For my DR degree ) I'm still not completely sold on it, but I guess the benefits outweigh the cost. Sure wish I could find a nice company that might help me out a bit

So quick to pass judgement... Oh wait, you're from Cali. I forgot, that's what you do. Anyway... I'm merely conveying what the article said. I couldn't care less about who's trying to screw who in Washington since it doesn't affect my life in any perceivable way. I agree... And the TN plant is one of the BEST plants they have. Then again, so was Oshawa. This has been discussed before... The fact that I posted the article does nothing but confirm that politics ARE at play. (How much? Who knows) I agree and disagree... I get the sentamentalism, but cheaper labor = south. Not to mention, GM might win more support down here if it increases it's presence. (i.e. shows that southern states are important)

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20090405...ESS01/904050366 I say we close BG next.... Move the C7 to Wilmington. So what's the deal? Traverse axed? Traverse moved to Lansing? If the Traverse is axed, wouldn't this make the case for GMC that much stronger. This is a segment where GM MUST have a volume entry. The Outlook is gone, and the Traverse seems to be on shakey ground. That's funny... I didn't think Obama was in the business of running car companies. But apparently they can decide what plants to close? Remember; this is the government "For The People" err... "For The People That Voted For Us" But, we all know how good the government is at doing OR predicting anything... And anything bigger than a Delta car is... THE DEVIL!

Given the two options what will you buy?
Damn those qualifiers... True... I've also heard that the Rotary motors sound bad too (Mazda)

I'll be debt free (except for student loans) in about a month! I can't wait! (Congrats BTW)

One Night Stand: Taking home the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS
But that's what we do in america now... If you're not part of the "in" crowd (READ: Green, urban, liberal, cosmopolitan, hypocrite) we harass you and discriminate against you...

One Night Stand: Taking home the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS
Doesn't matter... He's so out of touch with reality, safely consumed by his world of techno clubs, coffee shops and bitchy college girlfriends, that he'll never even notice. Maybe if they made a Camaro card for Dungeons and Dragons or if they put a billboard at the theatre, he'd notice. BTW, might I draw the parallel of irony that ALL of the media accuses GM of being out of touch with the consumer when in fact it is the media, based in LA and NY, that is out of touch with the reality of what america is. Not to mention, americans in general are out of touch with what the reality of the world they live in is. THIS is my theatre; featuring "The Fall of The Empire". (Yeah... Not really sure why I pulled that out of my ass... But it's true and it felt good!) EDIT: *Cues gay joke*

REPORT: General Motors in "intense" bankruptcy preparations
I agree... Because people do still CARE about the company... They may not like it, but the fact that they hate it says that they at least CARE. If GM we're to make a HUGE comeback, I think it might "rally the troops" some because americans do love a comeback story. I guess we'll see, but so far I'm not even convinced that the company has the resources or the leadership in place to even attempt a comeback.

I agree... (sadly)

2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster and NISMO 370Z
I feel the same way abouty the Z over all... The fundamental design appeals to me, but the details = EPIC fail. For example, the NISMO version was really appealing to me until I saw the nose of the car, which is balnd and seems to be missing something. The roadster looks bad IMO... It looks like a skinny person with a HUGE curvy ass in the profile shot... Junk in tha trunk?!?! Yes?!?! It's like the ass has been grafted onto the car. (STILL love that interior though! Even if it is utilitarian)

New York: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee - First Live Shots
I'm REALLY liking it now. Very impressive... Even reminds me a bit of Hummer from the front. (Not a bad thing)
-
New York: Acura ZDX aimed squarely at BMW X6
Oh yeah!!! I had completely forgotten about the Saab 9-X and 9-3X concepts! Some of my favorites... I REALLY wish GM would've given Saab a production 9-3X, it was SO right on so many levels.
-
Hyundai Nuvis Concept
I know... And yes, he CERTAINLY did know EXCITEMENT!
-
New York: 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee
+1... I think it's pretty impressive. But, for my money, it doesn't get any better than the current SRT-8 model. I'm sure the new SRT-8 model will be just as cool

SMS 570X Challenger: 700 HP With “Minor” Modifications
Don't like the lower rear bumper or the lower front bumper... Otherwise: LOVE that profile shot and the hood!

New York: Mitsubishi Outlander GT Prototype gets a EVOplasty snarl
As much of a fan as I am of the EVO... (Seriously, I really like that little car! It's everything an entry level Pontiac should be, great looks and all) I can't say that I like this... It's just too weird.
