Frankfurt: Report - BMW 1-Series to Start Under $30,000 in U.S.
i'm confused. they've placed this a little close to the 3-series. And I'm sure the 3-series will take a sales hit. I guess it's still BMW sales so it doesn't matter.

Lordstown may get Volt production?

SPY SHOTS! 2009/10 Opel Insignia (Vectra)
awesome that the interior is spot on! that's the only area the AURA lacks. excellent. can't wait to see it uncovered.

TE-based SAAB 9-4x to get Motori diesels
that doesn't make any sense. it would have to be the other way around. the 9-4x was approved before the H4 was. And that doesn't make sense either? A theta/epsilon h4? blasphemy! if the H4 is a "wrangler" competitor, it'll be the real deal, no silly FWD.

Canyon V8!
finally a decent engine, not really a surprise? when do we see that super-MCE we've all been waiting for?

TE-based SAAB 9-4x to get Motori diesels
i'm not a fan of the BRX idea either, but with real AWD, i think it could do it's job. it's competing with the RDX, x3, Q5 or Q3, that ugly new infiniti, and whatever else fits the small suv crowd. Don't expect a 3rd row or anything.

Chrysler SUVs appear destined to become roadkill
how ironic how these things happen. 3 years ago the automotive media lovvved Chrysler, the company could do no wrong! "Why can't other companies have products like the 300C", "other companies should take note how corporate synergy can work", "bet GM wishes they had a hot product like the 300C", etc. too funny. i'd say everything they've made since then has been wrong.

FIRST GLIMPSE! 2009 Chevrolet Traverse
I doubt it'd be Cadillac. My money is on a Saab 9-6x. Saab needs it more desperately, and GM's not going to make a product that could cost Escalade sales. The styling for the 9-6x was all but finalized when GM still had that stake in subaru, it'll probably just need to be reworked a little. GM just needs to make it different enough. So far none of these lambda's directly compete against eachother. A Saab and Cadillac would blue the line tho, although a 9-6x makes more sense, Cadillac's execs have been preddy adamant about not letting FWD back into their lineup.

FIRST GLIMPSE! 2009 Chevrolet Traverse
i realize that's a crappy chop, and a terrible color, and the front fender flares a little exaggerated. but it looks kinda hot!

GM may sell Two-Mode hybrid systems to Ford
GM will own the market on this one at least at the beginning. There isn't enough time between now and when the two-modes launch for other markets to match or beat GM to market. Even if GM sold the technology to Ford, etc, they'd barely have enought time to prep it for the 10MY. The GM/Ford sharing has been in the works for a while. I wouldn't be surprised if the new F150 was being designed to accept GM's dualmode technology since day 1.

2008 Cadillac CTS4 --- [ TEST DRIVE ]
yeh, if you like commuting in a fast, yet scary plastic dungeon. i think the CTS carries more exclusivity than a dodge anything.

August 2007 Sales: General Motors
GM probably fleeted them higher this month to get rid of the backlog of trailblazers. i think ALOT of buyers just waited all summer for the cheap finance rates.
