The Economy, Oil prices, and Globalization
It's nice and green here, but the economy sucks. I am right now debating the merits of relocating, although I love where I live. Where are you from? My Wife has family in Holmes County, near the Amish. Chris

The New Camaro... Slightly faster than a Cobalt.
So much for all FWD cars sucking. GM is onto something good... Chris

The Economy, Oil prices, and Globalization
...as a guy who would like to live in podunk, Ohio...I sadly agree. Chris

Hopefully they are still selling over 100,000 per year in about 5 years. That will be the acid test. Chris

We need to build things here. Another big waste is that everything we get from China is crap. China is only efficient at filling U.S. landfills. Chris

Get the best one you can buy, repairing them is expensive. But this car IS on my list of cars I would like to own. Chris

2008 Saturn Astra XR
I thought about this, and most of us that have driven the car and liked it have driven the manual. I bet the auto isn't so slick, and is turning buyers off. That and the interior is indeed a little dark...but I actually liked that about the car. Chris

HARDTOP
It would be a damn fine thing if we could do it. The problem is that only a very small part of the buying public cares. I would guess if you rounded up all of the people in North America that were really upset about the B-pillar in the Camaro and such they would probably fill a pretty good sized church...and that's a fraction of buyers that GM, Ford, and chrysler will all round down to Zero. Carnuts buy only a VERY SMALL minority of cars sold. But if your serious, I am serious. but since on this car thread no one else has bothered to respond, all I can say is... I have two sawzalls at the house. Which would you prefer, my Porter Cable 120v plug in or my 18v. Dewalt? Chris

Diamonds In The Rough
By the way, Dodgefan, I was out walking with my sons and wife the other night in our neighborhood and discovered a pristine SRT-4 about 4 blocks from where I live. I thought about you when I saw that thing, because this thing looks like it has babied. Chris

I wonder how one of these would work for my 18 year old daughter. I need to get her something autotrajic and indestructable. This may just do the trick! Chris

Actually the 190 is one Benz I'd buy....

You know what I really hate?
A little off topic but my fav. is the bumper sticker available at our local gun store...the one that says "I don't call 911" I also love those cars that are held together with 9 million bumper stickers about hating bush and saving the planet. Chris

What's Your Favorite Current GM Vehicle?
That Camaro has this Mustang fan thinking there is another V-8 bowtie in his future... Chris

What's Your Favorite Current GM Vehicle?
Let me rain on everyones parade with...Solstice GXP. Although CTS, G6 Retract.,Sky, Astra, and Cobalt SS TC all rate, as does the C6, esp. Z06. But for my real world money it would be a Solstice GXP all the way, baby. Chris

The Official MPG Thread
Just don't set the autopilot in that Mercury. It will head to the 4 O' clock early bird special at the old folks diner in Miami, Florida and you'll never see it again. Chris

Diamonds In The Rough
Your not all alone at all, I've been looking at ragtops of the Era. Dirt cheap and good looking...there may be another Chrysler in my future. Chris

It should outsell all of these, it is IMHO a MUCH more impressive car than any of the ones you mentioned. Chris

2008 Saturn Astra XR
True on its shortcomings, but for what it is a damn fine car. Chris
