  1. Speaking of new cars, the price on the G6 ragtop is dropping in the used market and since we already love our Miata...we are thinking seriously about getting a nice clean used low mi. G6 Convertible next year. The G6 is one of those designs that kind of grows on you. Chris
  2. I followed an internet link to one of the Hollywood companies once that rented cars like that. They made damned good money off of it. Chris
  3. That thing is just wayy cool. Much better done than the red 1968 Cadillac. Chris
  4. One of the GM cars that "Got away from me" was one of the three 1969 Cadillac wagons used at Indy as a PR vehicle for GM. I passed on it and bought my 55 instead. Chris
  5. Although the 1950's and 1960's were filled with generic, disposable cars also. We just don't remember them. There are plenty of modern cars, GM and non GM, that are worth loving/saving. They are just lower production specialty type cars. Chris
  6. No kidding, that is a nice Cutty...
  7. Sweet! It makes me want that car even more. Chris
  8. That being said, Toyotas lineup is not just unimpressive it is profoundly unimpressive. Chris
  9. ...so lets bring out lots of big rear wheel drive cars with...tailfins and bias ply tires. The Automakers world would be just great if they would just listen to Cheers and Gears. Chris
  10. The TSX isn't a bad car. Before I bought my Miata, I was looking at a Civic SI. Actually was cheaper to lease a TSX than an SI by about $75 per month, Chris
  11. Dubs on an Olds? (JUst Kidding) Chris
  12. No doubt we'll see his "end" in it though. Chris
  13. I don't know...a lof of cars have softer suspension tuning than I prefer. A lot of cars could use better suspension tuning IMHO. Chris
  14. Red Robin is a bit pricey. Chris
  15. I lpove their ice cream. Chris
  16. Should anyone be suprised at anything posted here? If this board reflects a typical GM buyer, the general public should problably RUN and not walk to the nearest Honda dealer for their next car. Chris
  17. I'd actually like to drive it myself and form my own opinion, I doubt seriously the car is really this bad. That being said, I miss the older Hondas. They were great drivers cars IMHO. Chris
  18. I'ved used goof off like this before and had it work. Chris
  19. I think I've posted this before, but my brother in law has owned a Shadow forever, and lives in Buffalo, N.Y., right in the rust belt. That car has never started to rust at all. In all seriousness, I wonder why this car started rusting so badly? Maybe the evil spirits that lived in Christine needed another old MOPAR to corrupt? J/K, DF, good luck and enjoy the car! Chris
  20. I love all of them, but I really love Lincolns of the era. Chris
  21. I'm glad someone elses irony meeter is pegged. BTW, Satty, back to m.p.g....how is the Prius doing? Chris
  22. +1 It is amazing the number of people you would find that would rather drop whatever particular car into the crusher than look at it. For what it is worth car guys need to stick together, to keep the government off of our back and keep enjoying our cars. I didn't mean to sound harsh inmy previous posts, but I worry about cheers and gears. Sometimes I think we lack rationality and an understanding of what real world car buyers want/need in a car. Sometimes I think this is why guys like CARBIZ, enzl, O.C., and Chris Doane don't post here as much as they could-I think they get sick of the stupidity. Chris
