Chucking 1/2 of it all
Congrats K.C.! I'm not bold enough for the Brick interior, my dream Acadia would be Silver ext. on Black int. with an HUD and Quads.

High hopes for Chicago but,...
I've been seeing this coming for a while now.... Nothing bigger than Malibu means that current Impala owners simply sacrifice bench seats (the few non-fleets that have them) and Hip/Shoulder room for legroom and a nicer interior. Seems like a small sacrifice to me, I could live with it as long as cars don't get any smaller than that.

Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO DEAD
At the end of the day, as long as GM can offer me at least a Malibu/Aura sized car with a V6, I'm happy... I'd even settle for a I4 if it's refined enough, but I prefer a V6.

First bad one I've seen
I LOVE the LT2 V6 in Black Suede! That's a car I could own.

(GASP) Mopar guy likely to be getting a Malibu Maxx
The Magnum is a fair bit bigger, isn't it? I've never been a fan of the lack of rear visibility.

Would you guys buy the Edix if it was available here?
Make it a Large 6 Pass Sedan or Wagon with a column shift, then I may consider it

- Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO DEAD
Can't help but notice that even though the article revealed the cancellation of the Impala... the focus was on Monaro... but an exported Camaro would justify volume at Oshawa, now wouldn't it? I refuse to buy cars from GM-DAT btw if they can't improve, so I guess it'll be the Opel Derivatives or Cadillacs only please.- MacBook AIR!
I guess they called it "Air" after the zombie airheads who call themselves apple fanbois.- Might have a car soon
Very Nice! My friend has a red 1986 325i Coupe... it's a sweet ride.- Coolant Light?
Will Do.- I Find Myself in a Moral Quandry...
There aren't any alternative dates, it's a standardized test. I'm not sure about a wake but that would be more agreeable, I'll know when the obit hits the papers... I'm quite sure of the time it will take to get ready for the test, I got the marks back for the practice finals and they were both 70% so I need to make up about 15% (4 Course Units) of knowledge of each course which will take about 18hrs per course (2) to be ready by Monday... that's 36hrs of studying, so yes, it's gonna be tight, and the time is needed. I talked to my mom right away but she didn't have a chance to answer before my dad piped in and he wants me to go, so we'll see, It might require further discussion... She knows about the tests. To answer S.C's question, she wasn't really close, and like her son, we haven't spoken in years, and rarely spoke before that.- I Find Myself in a Moral Quandry...
So I'll get right to it. Just got news that the mother of someone I knew (not a friend, not an enemy, just an acquaintance) in elementary school has died suddenly and there will be a funeral on Saturday afternoon. Problem is coming up on the following Monday are the diploma exams for Math and Chemistry both subjects I'm sitting below 80% in and they are worth 50% of my mark (I need to get an above 80 overall average to get into the Business School I want). Just this morning I figured out through calculation that I'll need all weekend as well as until 1am every night till then to be ready for this sucker, and low, while I'm out my mom answers the phone, finds out about the funeral and immediately commits to going. So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place, the funeral is a at the Polish Church one and will take like 3 Hrs smack in the middle of the day and I know I might not have time to go. Don't get me wrong, I want to go, and not just because I feel obligated, but I just am afraid of what effect this may have on my test... And yet I feel somehow stuck because I can't very well send my parents and not go myself my parent's mutual friends from work knew her too... I hate to sound insensitive, but this is the last thing I needed right now... Please tell me I'm not a bad person for being so concerned with my grades . Ever been in this situation? What did you do?- High hopes for Chicago but,...
C'est la vie... What will be will be. . How many people in 1964 thought the Corvair would be grudgingly loved today... how many in 1976 thought a 455 V8 LeSabre would captivate an online community?- High hopes for Chicago but,...
I feel your pain, I really do. However, I believe that history might not judge W and Company as harshly as one might think. Yes, the contemporary classics from present day GM will be the 5G Camaro, CTS, Cobalt SS, and of course the Corvette, but I think that in 50 years, if I join an automotive forum and say that one of my first cars was an Impala, I won't be bombarded with comments like "Jee whiz that was an antiquated platform by 2007" and "Now that was a platform that led GM astray" but rather with "That was a cool car, too bad it wasn't an SS" or "I heard they were really well built" or, here's the kicker; "I bet it rode real nice, we don't have cars as traditionally American as that anymore *sniff* *motions anemic Epsilon IV 4cyl global midsizer*". Believe it. The W- and G- are the last thing anything close to all American that's gonna come from the General... sure they may be FOMGWD but whatever replaces W and G (not Zeta, if they are replaced at all) will be shorter, narrower, stiffer suspension, less hip and shoulder room, and European in feel, and NO V8s. So enjoy them while you can, you may come to appreciate them later. - Holden Monaro/Pontiac GTO DEAD
