Being profitable is far more important than being sales leader! GM should consolidate its brands, lowering the number of cars per brand and focusing more on brand identity and better cars!

Nope! it is sold elsewhere as Accord in the Middle East and Inspire in Japan. And both versions are built in Japan.

Yup, you are right.. SAAB, Pontiac, Buick & GMC should be focused brands with no less than 3 vehicles and no more than 4. Five would be stretching the brand too far. SAAB should be grouped with Cadillac to cover the entry level so Cadillac don't have to go below the CTS.

Looking at this, the new Silverado does carry a lot of its design cues. Without the Chrome grille and the bar it would look a lot better.

It could be better of it lost the chrome on the grille, body colored would be a lot better!

So the CSVs are going to be around until 2010

I believe that the 9-5 should continue to be FWD but with an AWD version and built on LWB Epsilon II and somewhere in Europe, Sweden hopefully. BTW, the next 9-2 should be built alongside the Opel Astra in Europe. Other than that I like your thoughts..

Wasn't Wagoner voted out? I actually believe he can turn around GM, there are improvements, but why is GM still losing market share???!!!!

That's a problem with GM! Half-baked models and the good models are not here yet! It has been like this forever! Wait for the next models! I'm a GM fan and I can finally say that there are better products in the pipeline, but why? Why aren't they here now?
