I have one and mine doesn't whine. I have heard of problems with noisy AC compressors, so that could be the whine. The fit and finish on mine is excelent, even people who usually think that GM cars have poor fit and finish are impressed.

I wish Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, Subutru and any other asian cars companies would join them and get out of this country!

I just bought a 2LT yesterday. Very nice! It is extremely quiet and smooth running and riding. It has the 2.4. The car has lots of nice details. If you drive one, I think you are almost guarenteed to like it. My sticker was 20995. The Red tag is about a 1000 off of that. They sold 2 more while I was buying mine.
