  1. say what you will, but the NSX forced Ferrari and Lamborghini to start building cars whose parts don't fall off while you're driving them. And as far as performance, the original Type-R was after all the first production car to crack 8:00 at the Nurburgring. but yes, if Japanese supercars are the game, I'm Skyline > RX-7 > Supra > NSX.
  2. well yes, generally; but these guys beg to differ: The only Hondas I've ever truly loved. I do also like S2000's and Integras (and wish Honda would pull their collective head out of their ass and replace them already!), but everything else can GTFO.

I really do love these cars though; sure they're not fast, but they're quick enough. I'd even drive a Miata, but I'm not really a convertible person. Now if there was a coupe version of that, I'd be all over it.

I'm young, I'm single, i can deal with a stiff suspension; the roads in orange county aren't that bad that i can't handle it. The problem I was always worried about was whether or not i could squeeze my 6'3" frame into its drivers' seat with no problem. And then Top Gear tested a GT86, with Jeremy "6ft 5in" Clarkson behind the wheel and I rejoiced because apparently, he fits! I'd prefer the BRZ though, but if I were to buy the Scion, I'd rebadge it into a proper Toyota: I want a Hachi, not a Scion.
  5. oh, bikes. whew, you scared me there. my brother actually has a '71 CL350. neat little bike; it's not fast by any means (can't hit freeway speeds for example; but then why would you ride a bike on the freeway here unless you had a death wish?), but it was built for light offroading and motorcrossing. he's always wrenching on it to fix something though, so the previous owner probably didn't take very good care of it. I'd go for the 750, myself.

OMG THAT'S PERFECT. well, almost; it needs a red interior, but that's basically my dream car right there. color, stinger, engine, exhaust and wheels are all correct.

I'm sure the cat's not too happy about that though.

That's the good news?! Good news: it's because the charges were dropped.

yeah, seems a shame just to trash them. I have a few old mags stretching back to the mid-90's, when I started really getting into cars (and not just Corvettes and Camaros). I have some form back when i was 15 or 16, and the'd been kept in my binder at school. the binder rings always got bent and tore up the first few outside pages so a few of them are ratty--including, unfortunately, the Motor Trend 50th Anniversary issue from 1998. I do have some stretching back all the way to '94 though. most of the older ones are Road and Track, because I liked the side-view technical drawings.
  11. I'm seeing a LOT of Chevy Captivas lately. none of them look like fleet cars. One was being driven around the area of the local college campus by a female student (assumedly) in a Hollister shirt with every bangle in the world hanging off the RVM. have they started selling them here through regular retail, and I'm just the last to realize it?

Cubical-aka-Molar. formerly known as simply "Moltar". "Moltie" for shortsies!

...Which reminds me: How did this (sleek and attractive): Turn into this (ungainly and homely)?!?: Seriously, it looks like a Civic, a Cruze, and a Corolla had a three-way, and this was the result.

The newer ones are a lot easier on the eyes....but now they just look like a Chrysler Minivan:

bad news: you're a really great friend and a real sweet guy, but...
  16. This mess used to be a Porsche GT2 RS. The owner only had it for four hours; apparently was involved in a head on crash at 160 MPH.
  17. The Porsche curse strikes again: Porsche 911 GT2 lost control at high speed on a toll road, spun out, and crashed into another car in Bogor, Indonesia. first time I've seen rear-steer opp-lock in a Porsche.
  18. NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! It was a real one, too
  19. I always said smarts were deathtraps! but what's with the 156?

Bad news: Stalker Mechanic discovers Crazy Cousin, beats the tar out of him, and then comes after you claiming that you sent Crazy Cousin after him. He chases you out of your house, over your back fence and down the road. You're screaming bloody murder the whole way and he's laughing maniacally, this entire spectacle making a huge scene and alerting your already wary-of-you neigbors to the comedy of tragedies that is your life.

or IcyHot. (I figure if they're stupid enough to ball-five each other, they're stupid enough to do anything.)

    forever my favorite:
  23. You ever see that video of an Army APC that braked so hard it tore its rear end off? I'm betting that's what happened.
