A Touch of Class
And those inserts look fly, Fly. Very swank, and very Oldsmobile.

A Touch of Class
That'd be cool to bring those back (assuming the bodies are still coachbuilt by Fisher, which they aren't) or something like those back. My grandfather had a '69 GP that had those Fisher doorsills. It was a kind of ugly deep green color, but it was a really cool car. He died a couple of years back; I wonder what happened to it...

I'm in love!
I was lucky enough to see the Nomad a few years ago at the car show in Anaheim one year. Bowties abound on that thing--the mesh in the grilles, even the tire tread pattern! Both of them are friggin' HOT though.

....
Eh...it's okay, but it'd look better if the grille/headlights were shaped like the Tahoe/Suburban/Avalanche. Oldsguy's chop is a little more pleasing to the eye.

BMW M6 Convertible Unveiled
I like the 6-series, especially the M6. That convertible just makes the model that much more appealing. One of the best reasons yet to want to get rich

ew. looks like the illegitimate love child of a menage et trois between an Ion, a Corolla and a Crossfire. I'll be harsh and stamp this with an immediate 4F.

HELMETS
Does the nationwide "Click it or ticket" campaign not apply in PA? If a cop sees you not wearing your belt, whether or not you're doing anything else wrong, he'll pull you over and write a ticket. That's my understanding of it anyway. And capriceman, I never would call anyone stupid directly, but I just think that not wearing one is stupid, and most of the people that I know that refuse to wear them have that "I don't wanna follow the rules, helmets are for wimps" mentality, and that is stupid as well. But I have heard the complaints about how it limits traffic noise and side vision, but I'm sure that there has to be way to get around that, and I'm sure that it'd be possible to design a helmet with those complaints in mind. I have seen studies on this, credible or not, and cases in which the whiplash of your body going faster than your head are more rare than your head hitting the ground first, and even then breaking your neck to the point of quadraplegism is even more rare. Most motorcycle accidents where the rider dies from not wearing a helmet, the head trauma was determined as the main cause of death. Sure, your head is not likely to be the first thing to hit the ground (It would probably be your shoulders or your butt), but consider when bracing for an impact, your body will tense up, and then your neck isn't as likely to snap. Sure, not every accident is going to go like that, some people won't see it coming or won't be able to tense in time. Also keep in mind that most vehicular accidents occur in town. Nobody's going to survive getting thown from your bike at freeway speeds, but at say 35 or 40mph on a city street, the chance of survival is a little friendlier with a helmet on. Now, I'm not trying to change your mind of course (I wouldn't succeed anyway, and it isn't my place), but I am at least stating my place on this issue, as you did yours.

Congratulations. Dakotas are nice looking, better looking than the Durango, anyway.

HELMETS
I don't. Seatbelts are and should be mandatory. Its beyond me why anyone WOULDN'T wear them, it's pure stupidity if you don't. If a crackdown on not wearing seatbelts is what it takes to get stupid people to actually buckle up, and save themselves form their own "I'm-not-gonna-wear-seatbelts-because-it-makes-me-look-cool-if-I-don't-cuz-I-don't-have-to-follow-no-rules,-man" stupidity then that's the way it needs to be. The same thing goes with helmets for cyclists. Its better to have the cops drill the sense into you then the hard asphalt, three nano-seconds before your head ruptures on impact.

good deal. things seem to be picking up. although If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't give anyone a second chande that ran out on me. Nuh-uh. You had your chance and you blew it. That has happened a couple of times to me, and I'll forgive and forget, but the most I ever have and will let and XGF become after the relationship is over is a friend. In other words, keep your eye on that dude.

Any good flicks out there lately?
Running Scared is a good movie. It's sort of a psych-thriller about this shady guy who is involved in a drug ring, but then they get raided, and they attack and take down their raiders, only to find that they're police. The gang leader gives the main character a gun during the getaway, so that he can dump it, but unfortunately, the guy's kid and his friend saw where he hid it in his basement. The kid's friend ends up stealing it and shoots his abusive Russian stepdad in the shoulder with it and runs away from home, but something keeps happening and the gun keeps on changing hands everytime the main character gets close to tracking it down, and all the while, he's also got to find this kid who ran away from home, too. It ends on a REALLY surprising twist.

they should be shot, firing squad style. I'll get my rifle.

Hate it when people sit on your car(s)?!
Don't sit on my cars. I'll kill you. Especially the Cobalt--the rear fenders and hood WILL buckle under pressure. Also I had an ex-girlfirend who sat on the spoiler of my Camaro and snapped it in half. Lesson learned from that, got a '98-'02 SS spoiler (the kind with support braces on either side of the CHMSL) to replace it.
