Next-gen Buick small sedan could be built by Opel
Then what is the point of the Cadillac Alpha?

Next-gen Buick small sedan could be built by Opel
So if Buick is getting a Delta II based vehicle, does Buick still need an Alpha-based vehicle?

A Big Asstra Inventory
Considering you did exactly the opposite of saving Saturn, you're "saving" of Buick is basically a bunch of fluff at the moment. I don't think too many people want a repeat of the W car... perhaps you do, but not most.

Bravada?
I think they're probably pretty hard to find. Might as well get a TB/Envoy because you'll be able to find better deals on them I would assume.

Montreal Autoshow: Camaro SS
I am a bit concerned with the quality of the leather after looking at this picture: The driver's seat already look very worn... I know a lot of people have sat in the car already but it is a bit concerning that the leather is already starting to look very worn.

Circuit City to liquidate remaining US stores
Well that's a little white lie. Sure, Circuit City may list the price for a TV as "$2399.99" in their system because that's the MSRP, but everyone knows damn well that the price that anyone could have walked in and bought the TV for before the liqudation is much less than $240 less than that price. Most ~$2400 TVs are discounted around $500 at Best Buy.

I'm pretty sure you just give them your account name. Like [email protected]

Circuit City to liquidate remaining US stores
Has anyone been to Circuit City since the news? I went the other day and the deals suck on TVs. It's 10% off everything and 20% or 30% off other stuff, but TVs are only 10% off and they are at regular MSRP. For instance, the Sony Z series 46" was $1550 before Christmas (marked down from $2400). Now it's $2400 with 10% off. There's also a Samsung that was about $1600 before Christmas and is $2300 now + 10% off. The TVs will never sell at those prices when you can go to Best Buy and get them for hundreds less.

Detroit 2009: Lincoln MKT debuts with a big, toothy smile
Northstar replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)The area below the center air vents in the MKT and the area below the NAV screen in the Legacy is almost identical.

Detroit 2009: Lincoln MKT debuts with a big, toothy smile
Northstar replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)This thing is $50k with Ecoboost and AWD. I'll take an R-Class for that money. BTW, it seems Lincoln must like the Subaru Legacy's interior: Note that the Legacy came out in 2002.

What to choose instead of a G8 ST? The Torrent GXP, of course
There's no way he was really the only one to pick "G8 ST" what a stupid contest.

2009 Pontiac G8 GXP on eBay...
If I were buying a GXP, I think I'd wait about 6-8 months and find a used one for $28k instead of $45k.

It's official - GM to go to 4 brands
Well, I don't know what is going to happen, but I think it makes more sense to just get rid of Saturn. Perhaps Pontiac could get the Corsa and Astra if they stay around. The OPC versions would make them small, sporty, fun-to-drive cars.

It's official - GM to go to 4 brands
I don't see the point of that... just give Saturn's vehicles to Buick... Vue becomes new Rendezvous, what was the NG Aura is becoming the Regal, perhaps the NG Astra could be a Buick (or Pontiac?).

BYD F3DM Plug In Sedan
It will be funny if all Chinese cars are basically knock-offs of cars that are through their model cycles by the time the Chinese versions come out, because in that case the Chinese cars are basically going to be used Toyotas (or whatever) with no miles for more money than a used Toyota.

Automotive News: Buick to get new tag line, ad campaign
This just made me think of something and goes along with Opels becoming Buicks. What if the VUE gets new fascias and becomes the new Rendezvous since Saturn is now dead?

Detroit 2009: Lincoln MKT debuts with a big, toothy smile
Northstar replied to Intrepidation's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)This will be a flop. No one bought the R-Class, no one bought the SRX. Cars that ask the question "is that a crossover or a station wagon?" don't usually sell well. People thought the SRX looked like a hearse, this is much more hearse-like...

Automotive News: Buick to get new tag line, ad campaign
I don't know if Buick will really need the Lucerne. The new LaCrosse is a big car and I expect it will have plenty of room front and rear and be classified as full-size by EPA standards.

Automotive News: Buick to get new tag line, ad campaign
Well clearly that would be the goal here, but it seems GM must be wasting a lot of money coming up with new marketing tag lines all of the time. If they spent all of that money on actually advertising a good tag line then perhaps Buick's perception wouldn't be what it is right now.

Automotive News: Buick to get new tag line, ad campaign
I hope this is Buick's last new tag line in a while. It seems like they change every year recently.

It's official - GM to go to 4 brands
Really GM is reducing to 3 brands... GMC is not at all unique. I don't see why GM can't keep two models for Pontiac aimed squarely at the youth market. As reg pointed out, GM really has no brand that is youth oreinted besides Pontiac now that Saturn is dead...
