Camaro Engines? 4 Cylinder Turbo considered by Lutz
L76 Camaro will have the LS3. I'm 100% positive because I have proof of it. A turbo 4cyl is definitely something to consider. However, when the Camaro moves to Alpha this may be a better option. Zeta seems rather big, but I guess it has 260/260 so it may be fine.

G8 V6 or Malibu LTZ....?
G8 would win for me, but the Malibu may win for many people in the snowbelt that simply don't want RWD.

I still can't get over the front end. Looks odd... the side of the car is ok now but I'm still no fan of the dip... interior looks nice, and the rear is fine. I'd rather have the Camaro, though.

GM @ NYIAS: Solstice Coupe
6' or so (perhaps 6'1" with shoes). There didn't seem to be a lot of room in the 'vert Solstice, but I guess there isn't any more room in it with the top up than there will be in the targa so maybe I'll fit. EDIT: There's an inch less headroom in the targa than the coupe. 38.4 vs 37.4. GTO is listed at 37.3 though so maybe I'd be fine.

GM @ NYIAS: Solstice Coupe
This may be my next car. I've been lusting over the Z4 coupe, and this is quite similar, but much more affordable. Only problem is that headroom looks very, very tight: http://gm.wieck.com/forms/gm/previewpage?045375 I wonder if it will be cheaper or more expensive than the convert?

[ Real ] Buick Invicta Concept
The sweespear is part of the sheet metal. There's no way they would already be showing something for the next Lucerne. NG Lucerne is at least 3 years away. At one point it was a late 2010 CY entry, and it's been pushed back I would assume. Riviera concept is quite small. 185 inches long. That's more like the size of a Buick on Delta II than EPII (Cobalt is 180.5 inches long, for comparison). Reports that it is certain that it will become a production model should give away the fact that it is the LaCrosse. Zeta is in question, and with it the NG Lucerne.

LSA Camaro Spied (Z28?)
Small things here and there. LS9 is most advanced, has more lightweight materials (titanium) than the others. Probably lower boost on the LS8 than LSA and LS9.

LSA Camaro Spied (Z28?)
I think we may have a winner I would expect ~525HP. LS8<LSA<LS9 was the original plan in terms of power.

This is the concept version of the LaCrosse, turbo is correct. I'm almost 100% sure. The profile matches the LaCrosse/whatever they're going to call it perfectly.

LSA is Cadillac-only. Chevy gets a different version :AH-HA_wink:

Todd Lassa: GM and Ford's rear-wheel-drive strategies
Agreed, the G8 rear seat is phenomenal, best GM has to offer. Tons of space and comfortable.

GM @ NYIAS '08: Pontiac G8 GXP
From what I have seen, it seems that the preproduction cars were not anywhere near the quality of the production vehicles. The pre-pro car I sat in had some poor fits, but nothing I've seen indicates the production vehicles have those same problems. Other than the poor quality of some of the fits, I didn't find anything better about the Charger interior... G8 had better materials, they were just put together rather cheaply. IIRC, you sat in a pre-pro G8 and had some of the same quibbles as I did. Have you sat in a production G8 and it had the same problems?

Pontiac lets Solstice Targa image slip
Pontiac is such a simple brand to fix. Not long ago, Pontiac was a joke. Now, Pontiac is becoming relevant again. Give them a G8 coupe/GTO, Alpha sedan and coupe, and watch sales start to take off. Pontiac only needs three vehicles/lines: Solstice (2-seat coupe/targe and roadster) (cheap Z4) Alpha Vehicle (sedan, 2+2 coupe, perhaps a convertible, but not necessary depending on added cost) (cheap 3er) G8 sedan, ST, coupe, and perhaps wagon. (cheap 5er) There is no need for anything bigger than the G8 as it is already close to the 7er in size, nor anything smaller than the Alpha vehicle, IMO. G8 could even be downsized slightly. It would seem Pontiac would be one of the cheapest brands to run. The Alpha could share much with the Holden Alpha, the G8 already is a Holden, and the Solstice shares costs with the Sky and GT. Perhaps Saturn is the only brand that will be cheaper to give product to.

The rear is nice, but they need to go back to the drawing board on the rest, IMO.

GM @ NYIAS '08: Pontiac G8 GXP
When Edmunds tested the G8 GT they lined it up next to a Charger SRT-8, and the Charger just barely won each time. I think that is where the comment about the G8 GT being almost as fast as the SRT-8s comes from.

It's probably going to be doing the quarter in under 13 seconds. That's pretty impressive.

Chysler closing?
So that explains it. Going through heat like that day after day got to your mind and damaged it.

I'm not sure how much of a problem that is in this class, though. The RX has a short hood and obviously it has no problem selling.

Chevy Camaro to be a 2010 model, not 2009
Not exactly unsuspected considering it has been on for a Feb '09 start of production date...

I think TE is quite a bit more differentiated than you think. The fact that the Equinox is not on TE says something about the cost of the platform, I think. I'm sure Sigma probably shares something with Zeta and other platforms that Chevy uses. The Epsilon bits are EPII, so they are much improved over EPI. Perhaps I am wrong, but I think TE will be far superior to Theta, whether they share components or not. There's nothing wrong with sharing components as long as they are good and the platform is world class. If the platform is world class, I could care less if it's made out of paper clips.

There is no Chevy on TE. Only this and the 9-4x.

Wow, this is shaping up to be a potentially very good-looking vehicle. So far, it looks great.

Some of those cars seem to be in quite good shape. Wonder how much you'd have to pay to get one of those old Camaros?

2008 Holden Coupe 60 Concept
Sixteen grand? LOL. You can get a used 04 with ~30k miles for $17k on ebay. There's an 06 on ebay with 7k miles for $21k. That's the cheapest I've seen for a used 06. My local dealer recently sold a used '06 for ~$25k.

http://ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225086 There are 2 in Tennessee, which is probably the closest place to you. One with 17s and a manual and one with an auto. No, there are 4 manuals left. 2 Torrid Reds with 18s and one with 17s, and a Brazen with 17s.
