Semester's over!
I'm taking my time at college.. started doing 15 credits working 40 hours a week does not mix well. So this semester I'm taking a break and just working but next semester I'll start with one class and then I'll slowly get back into it as long as I'm able to keep focused.

Do you have Two plates on your car?
Yes, and to add to it NY is probly the worst state in terms of automotive restrictions  About two months ago before the weather got really cold I saw a Solstice on the road but it didn't have any front plate with was good but bad if they get pulled over. Cops around here are really anal about things like front plates and all, you can't put the plat in your front wind shield, even if it is clearly visible. It really strikes me odd how I live 50ft away from a police station and they don't issue ticket for people parking in front of the fire hydrant in front of my house, but they will pull someone over that has an out License plate light.

Spy Pic of Camaro
It's a chop based on the 1999 Nomad concept That being said, I think the chop looks pretty good except the shape of the foglights and mirrors are obviously too thin for a production car.

Charger Cop Cars Hit the Streets
I'm sure I'll probly see them soon in Vestal, NY. Their police force used to be mostly Impalas but I've seen quite a few 05/06 Grand Cherokees and Durangos as police cruisers. Other areas around here are mostly Crown Vics and some cases Tahoes are used (County Sherif and State Police). My local town just got a new Crown Vic with an LED light bar.

Good to be back in a real car
Also note that my daily driver is an Achieva and before that I was driving an 88 LeBarron. So compared the the lebarron, the Achieva is lightyears ahead of it. So I thought the Alero was a fine car compared to my Achieva.

Good to be back in a real car
What's funny is when people you know who hate American cars get a rental of a car you normally think would be good car and could change their opinion on american cars (or at least lower their hatred) and they totally trash it after saying it's a nice car. [DETAILED STORY] One of my buddies had gotten a car from his uncle in high school (80s Ford Tempo) and the car had lasted him about a day if not less and then it died. He has this huge grudge that all american cars are like that even though he admits that what he had was not only a FORD but a Tempo (not sure how much lower that can get). Now he drives a 92 civic (Bone stock, no mods planned, hates ricers). He had his car in for some repairs and got a rental. He wanted one with a stick but they didn't have any. He called me up to go for a ride and told me the car was like mine. He pulled up in a 00-02 Red Alero coupe. I got in and he said the car had some pretty decent power (compared to his 130ish hp Civic) he had assumed it was a 4cyl. When we got on the highway I encouraged him to punch it be he was skeptical and all because he didn't want to risk breaking the car or something. When we got to the mall we poped the hood and it was the 3400 in the engine bay. I had asked him what did he think about the car and he said it wasn't too bad aside the fact that it was pretty bad on gas and it was AMERICAN  . I'm not sure if he said that just to piss me off or he really ment it. I just shrugged it off and let it be. After he has been driving the car for a week and before he was going to drop it off and pick his car up I had asked him the same question again. He said he didn't mind the car, the ride was confortable and the power was nice, but he didn't like how it sucked gas soo much. I had mentioned to him that is IS a rental that are normally beaten on hard so that could be a good reason for the bad gas mileage and then he comes out with saying "No because it's American!" I just don't get what that has to do with anything with that... O well... I didn't let it get too me that much. [/DETAILED STORY]

Why am I laughing?
I think this is a sales gimmick to get it to sell faster or something. I recall seeing other auctions with the same general topic this is a punishment for my son because he has bad grades blah blah blah, ect.) except they were for other systems like the psp, ps2 and other various systems. I laughed at this question repsonse:

What Car Would You Buy?
GM: Since the CTS-V is $51k, I'll take an '06 GTO with dealership appearance package Ford: Fusion or Mustang GT Chrysler: I'm iwth razoredge on the '06 Challenger, If going with the current lineup, I'd have a tough time deciding between a SRT-8 Magnum or Charger Euro: Audi S4 sedan Japanese: Infiniti G35 Coupe Overall: Tough choice between the Audi S4 and GTO, but I'd choose the S4 in the end.

2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT-8
As awsome as it may be... I still finding myself asking one question: Why a Jeep? Wouldn't a Durango suit this better?

Audi fails emission standards
So what happens I travel south for 15 min and buy one in PA and take it back up? I'm forced to sell it or will there be a way to allow it to meet emission standards? *EDIT* Anything change from the 05 model or is this NY's new emmision regulations stopping it?

Don't you just love it when you had plans
Don't you just love it when you had plans to do something (like a trip or something) and someone bails out and cancels at the VERY last minute? So either you do what you had planned alone or not even bother. Granted sometimes they've canceled because something tragic or important happen that I can understand, but when they cancel because "they don't feel like it" just... I don't know why, but crap like this happens to me all the time and it's not with just one friend in particular it's with quite a few of them. I'm not someone who gets pissed off often but this is one of the little things that grate on my nerves.

Should Pontiac make a 4-cylinder G6 Coupe?
I wouldn't mind a 4cyl G6 coupe since the sedan offers it and it could be a good for people who want better gas mileage but don't want a compact. I'm thinking that my next car might be an Alero or Grand Am coupe with an Ecotec (5 speed of course). I'll take a cobalt coupe with a twin turbo charged LS7 B) .. Is that too much power?
