Cars that people like that you can't stand...
There's something I like about every car.

Keep it simple, no poll - what is your favorite car color?
Dark Red Metallic Especially the one on the CTS. How do I pick colors on Caddy's wobsite?

Veritas RS III Roadster
It is quite striking. I love the high-mounted exhaust pipes. Don't dig the eyebrows, though.

Made in USA
In 9th grade I got a pair of NB for track practice which I only did one season of. Mostly I've worn Vans or various other skate shoes because they are ultra-comfy. But when I started college I had a lot of walking between classes so I started wearing my NBs again. They have held up well.

Name your price
Patriot fo-sho. My dad and I priced out a new Rabbit the other day. The website claimed they start at $16,300 (for the three door), but as soon as we selected that model it tacked on a $700 destination charge. Lame. We then continued to lament the lack of compact hatchbacks in the US.

Car decision
My dad is going to sell either the Sunfire or the Corsica. I get to choose which since the remaining one will become mine. I am having a tough time deciding. 1996 Corsica 2.2L 2200, automatic 77,191 mi. Pros: It's more or less well sorted out Lower mileage Nicer sounding radio (with tape player!) Better reliability reputation as far as I can tell Cons: Horn not working for some reason ABS no worky A/C is shot Possibly doesn't like to start in very cold temperatures It's boring to look at, boring to be in, and boring to drive Cramped rear seats 2000 Sunfire coupe 2.2L 2200, 5-speed manual 94,633 mi. Pros: I like the styling 20x more Manual transmission Less boring to drive Actually has more legroom all around than the Corsica My friends think it's a "sports car" Air Conditioning works Cons: J-body reputation (even though we've had no major problems with it so far) Higher mileage Starting to rust in some spots Laundry list including: radio display backlight needs fixed, rear defroster needs fixed, brakes need replaced, new front fender needs put on I really would rather drive the Sunfire any day; I just plain like it more, it makes my long daily commute less boring, it's easier for me to concentrate on driving in it. The Corsica has been/is rock solid, except when it wouldn't start for a spate last winter. At that point the Sunfire came through, and it hasn't had any major problems that have kept it from running in the nearly ten years we've had it either. But I worry about the horror stories I hear about every other J-body car on the planet. Also I am wondering which will be worth more. Both have been in accidents (at my hands); we've fixed the Corsica's bumper, and we plan on fixing the Sunfire's biggies before making a decision. What are y'alls thoughts?

2010 Subaru Outback at the Georgian College Autoshow
No, including Japanese makes. They're finally starting to let loose and create designs that are distinctly their own, not just follow an "average car" template. You may think they are ugly, but they are not bland.

Anyone up for a C&G Meet & Tour in January...
Maybe, if we get the Sunfire decent by then.

Funny Prius/Criagslist advert
It always hits a nerve when I hear about bicyclists getting hit by cars. A family friend of ours was a passionate cyclist. He was part of the Armed Forces Elite Cycling Team and had been selected to represent them in the 2004 Olympic Trials. He was training by alone when a pickup truck struck him from behind and killed him. I and everyone else I know who rides a bicylce even occasionally have always been taught proper road manners. I've never encountered cyclists on the road who did not. I can believe how frustrating if they are darting back and for, holding up traffic, and being otherwise rude and disrespectful. And it frustrates me when I hear about people like that because they are just perpetuating the circle of vindictiveness and road rage. But I don't think anyone deserves to be maimed by an car, no matter how great of an asshole they are being.

I think cars today look more unique than they have for the past 30 years or so.
