2010 Mercury Milan
OK, I like it a little more now. The taillights don't look as silly as the old ones. I still think those are the headlights the Fusion should've gotten.

You know you grew up in the 90s when...
I get depressed when I read this list because I recognize all the references, but I can't remember anything about them. I never got to watch all the cool shows. I never had LA Gear shoes, but I had BK Ratch Techs and the ones with the windows that had shiny blue goo in them. Also ReBoot was the most kickass 90's cartoon, hands down.

2010 Mazda3
I love it. I was surprised how much the front looked like a Peugeot, but I don't dislike it. A little chrome on the grille would make it perfect.

Oh my gosh. That's everything I wanted my crappy Aveo design to be. You are awesome on every level.

A question
Chevy SS: sporty practical cars. Pontiac: practical sports cars. Pontiac's base models should be equivalent in performance to Chevy's SS models. Big V8's or turbo 4's. They should also have wild, unrestrained styling, more like the Solstice than the G8 in my opinion. The G8 is a good looking car but nothing about it looks definitively sporty, i.e., I think it would look at home as a Chevy. Pontiacs should all look like Ferraris. No one should ever think it was a common passenger car.

How'd you get hooked on...
All my Hot Wheels/Matchbox cars I had as a kid (and still have most of them.) Then, as now, I was mostly just interested in the design and styling.

2010 Lincoln MKZ
This is my favorite of the 3 refreshes. I like the old taillights better, with the backup/turn lights running down the middle instead of the bottom, but the front end looks great. And also, FWD and B-pillars FTW.

No good.

2010 Ford Fusion
I don't dislike it as much now that I've seen more. The rear end and lower front fascia definitely reminds me of the newest Falcon, which I like. I still wish they had kept the tall headlights like on the original Fusion.

New Skins
The little folders were my biggest beef, but I can live with them. Is the Forum's current address going to be permanent, or will it go back to the old one soon?

An Early Christmas Present For You Star Trek Fans
I've known about it, I started watching a month ago but I wasn't able to download part II. Thanks for bringing it to my attention again.

New Skins
It's a bit too... shiny for my taste. Is there a way for users to change the skin just they see?

Quote of the Day
Posted around the school of art: THANK YOU FOR STEALING MY VAGINA. Someone has taken one and a half of my vaginas and made a mess of my table. Grad student or not, you are expected to behave respectfully towards other peoples property. Please return my vaginas as soon as possible so the karma does not affect you. Sincerely, ***** ***** My sister to her boyfriend: "If I replaced my nose with a corn dog, would you still love me?"

The New GM: Chevrolet, Cadillac, and...
I voted for Pontiac; back in the day it was not just a "sporty" brand, it was a luxury division with high-performance models to reel in the younger crowds. There needs to be something between Chevy and Caddy for Caddy to move upmarket, and a sporty, near-luxury Pontiac would be perfect for that. Buick I think would work as well; it has it's history of sporty cars (Grand National, T-types, um... others I'm sure) so it might also be able to provide some sporty models in the near-lux range. Ideally they could be sold back-to-back, Pontiac being the more flamboyant, sporty brand while still having nice appointmens, with Buick being more traditional but still having high-performance offerings.

Turkey! Cranberries! Firebird Formula 400!
A Catera stuck in the middle of the 3-lane highway near an exit, couldn't get any traction. Fortunately it was near an exit so everyone was slowing down and going around it. I was thinking how perfect an Eagle would be for this weather, and past me drives a beige Eagle 2-door sedan.

CTS Comes in 5th in Jalopnik's "10 most Beautiful Cars"
Well, to each his own. I would probably choose the Caddy over the Citroën because of the more interesting interior, but just judging from exterior styling I'd take the C6 without a second thought. I just love everything about it, the concave rear window, the sloping hood, the fastback profile... it's just perfect to me. Its cushy hydro-pneumatic ride is also extremely tempting.

CTS Comes in 5th in Jalopnik's "10 most Beautiful Cars"
I love the C6 and certainly think it is beautiful, but then I have always found low-nosed, aerodynamic cars far more attractive than cars with blunt, upright front ends. The CTS is certainly my favorite in the latter category, though. The C6's hood did help it get a four star passenger safety rating, but this is because it pops up slightly on impact to cushion the blow.

A Quantum of Solace was a short story by Fleming, just like Octopussy and The Living Daylights. I don't think it had much Bond action in it though.
