What I've gathered from Camaro6.com is that the Camaro will follow a 4-6-8 cylinder hierarchy instead of a 6-4-8 one like the Mustang, and that there shouldn't be many restricted options based on engine choice. I've seen that MRC will be an option only for the SS but no other restrictions to date. Also saw a quote from Oppenheiser stating that the 4 cylinder car will run 0-60 in "well under 6 seconds."

New look is much nicer than the one it replaces, though I still see that floating-header thing (Safari 8.0.5, OS X 10.10.3) that has a tendency to cover up posts and it doesn't disappear like it used to with the previous skin.

Emptied the cache but the "sticky header" still shows up when reading unread posts. If I then refresh the page the sticky header appears then immediately goes away.

With the new skin I've noticed that when using the "go to first unread post" feature the page loads and scrolls to the correct post but the header/banner also loads and covers that post. If I scroll the page the header/banner 'pop-up' goes away (it's still at the top of the page). Not sure if this is an issue with the new skin itself, but it's not something that happens with the old skin. I'm using a Mac running OSX and Safari.

A couple people on Camaro5/6 are pointing out that the edges of the windshield, and maybe the side windows, are taped to make their surface areas appear smaller. Those people are also saying that the front end of the new car is probably covered by a current generation nose and that the rear is extended with tacked on stuff, which is why the front looks unchanged and the car looks big in general.

Both versions have bad front-ends so aside from the generic/copycat front-end of the Chinese version I think the Chinese version wins. It gets new details along the side, and Impala-like rear-quarters and rear-end that look much better than the leftover bits we get. Why couldn't they just make ours a mini-Impala?

What I have: Harbor Freight 1/2" drive corded electric impact wrench (probably the same one Drew has), worked great to remove front axle nuts on my 9-2x Black & Decker corded drill What I want: a corded electric ratcheting wrench (essentially an electric version of the 90-degree pneumatic wrenches that are common) in 3/8" or 1/4" drive, which turns out are pretty hard to find, so I'll probably look for a cordless version

A bit over a year ago Ford dealers got a bad batch of fuel pumps for the 2001 (and related) Mustang GT that we had. Two of those pumps, one purchased in CA and the other a warranty replacement from NM, made it into the car and failed within weeks. Moral of the story... don't rule out the possibility of a bad fuel pump.

The 1LE option on a 6MT Camaro SS includes a matte black hood wrap, but I'm pretty sure there is no factory option for the whole car to be matte black.

Went to the Santa Fe Concorso and saw the 1961 Mako Shark and 1969 Manta Ray Corvette concepts plus most of the cars listed in this program.

The truck is pretty cool! The Saab is much nicer looking than I expected. If the title is clean then I wonder if it has some major issues (axles, hub bearings, head gaskets, major engine problem?). I guess if it drives well, and as you would expect, then that could rule out engine issues. Checking for leaking inner axle boots should be easy (grease all over, strange sounds if bad enough), as should looking for rust at the rear connection points of the front A-arms (recall for this if the car was in certain states). It also wouldn't hurt to look for any major rust on the underside. I'm almost 100% positive that the door (and color) could be replaced with one from the same vintage Impreza. I can't tell from the pictures, but the car could have factory HIDs and those could be costly to replace if they weren't functioning properly (not just turn on but also manually adjust the level with a knob on the dash to the left of the steering column).

I would say 9-2x over the Axiom because I am biased and because it's probably the better vehicle, in terms of chassis and power train, based on some assumptions I am making. MPG should be good too. Aside from some possible common Subaru issues with the engine I can't think of why the Saab wouldn't be reliable. Furthermore the Subaru guts should make the Saab cheap-ish to maintain. That said, you are looking a $500-$1000 scheduled maintenance for the timing belt etc. at 105,000 miles or 105 months. Also, be aware of possibly bad/grease-$h!ting axles. Furthermore... it seems that nowadays it's tough to find the Saab specific parts for the 9-2xs, which means that front end damage could end up making the car a "total loss." Given the mileage of the one you mentioned, and even considering the poo condition of the interior and other things, the asking price sounds a few thousand low, which either means the car is much worse than I am imagining or it already has a salvaged title. Anywho, just thought I would try to contribute something valuable.

Just watched the live reveal. The car looked better than any of the previous leaked images/video. I no longer think that the rear update looks bad. Also, Z/28!

LTS? That's the letter combination they trademarked IIRC... LTS = Luxury Transport Sedan?????? Luxury Touring Sedan? Like how DTS was Deville Touring Sedan, STS was Seville Touring Sedan, ATS is A Touring Sedan, CTS is Cadillac Touring Sedan, and XTS is Xtreme Touring Sedan... I also figured LTS could stand for Luxury Touring Sedan, but I always thought of CTS as standing for Catera Touring Sedan.

... Some things that likely impact the cost of repairs for the Astra are that it was a low volume model in the US, that it was imported from Europe, and that it's out of production... Though I have found people on the internets (maybe it was on the Astra forum) that state that the current 1.8 in the Cruze shares parts with the 1.8 in the Astra, and since the Cruze came out prices and availability of parts for the Astra 1.8 have improved.
