OK, that's all fair and makes sense. I do wonder which V6 they'll use. If they want to use the 3.0, I hope they tune it for more torque... or, better yet, use the 2.8T. Infiniti's two sedans are in a weird place... the G is closer to the size of the 5/E/A6 but positioned a class lower. Same for the M.

Why should a base ATS be able to run with an Audi RS4? To satiate the bench racers?

And what constitutes probable cause for questioning about legal presence based upon? That's the question that no one can answer satisfactorily. Sorry, but an DL or any other ID card is much more convenient to carry around than an official birth certificate, at least until the people who make wallets decide to make convenient little slots for BCs as well. But then, if someone swipes your wallet (or purse if you're a woman), it's also much harder to replace, especially if you were born out of state. Oh yeah... El Paso's crime rate is still lower than the national average. Stark contrast to Juárez, which somehow manages to keep its crime to itself.

I'll be the lone dissenter and say go for the Regal 2.0T. It seems that it would be more livable from day to day. Especially the interior. EDIT: Wow, more people have voted Regal than it shows in the comments.

While I agree with you to an extent, a better comparison would have been the GT (more similar power numbers). But what gets lost in your statement is that very few people who shop a V-Series, much like those who shop an M, AMG, or RS, aren't making their purchases based on fuel economy. It's just a perk.

With the numbers Dwight posted, it seems there's a lot of space between the ATS-V and CTS-V. Space for the ATS-V to increase in power. Is supercharging the ATS-V a la the CTS-V off the table?
