Wow, the pics have been all over the internet. Go to www.automobilemag.com. They have the same picture of the concept Camaro that has been floating along the internet. Or you can just wait till Jan 9th, as the Camaro concept will be shown on a GM podcast. This is per Scott Stettlemeyer, the Fbodyfather.

What part of this do you find unfortunate? The Camaro concept is hidely anticipated with great excitement. Are you referring to the other concept, which hasn't been leaked yet?

Oh, but the joy of shifting thru the gears and hearing the rev's build. What's a sports car without a manual? It's like peanut butter without jam, less fullfilling !!

Just adds a lot of suspense and excitement leading up to the N.A.I.C.S. Can't wait to see the Chevy concepts. Christmas comes in January for me. :)

I'm in total agreement. I thought we would see the Sixteen headlights, not the DTS lights. I'm really disapointed that GM wouldn't make a bolder statement with the front end design.

No matter how you spin this, it's bad news for GM.

Ponchoman, you were able to uncover hopefully some early production Impala's with iffy quality control. These are important finds, and show that GM should pay much more attention to detail assembly. It's troubling to hear about the indifferent quality control. Lets hope they get their act together soon. In this highly competitive market it won't be tolerated.

It's a nice looking small car, but 33 mpg with the larger engine is really inefficient, when a base Corolla gets 40 mpg on the highway. This is a critical factor when shopping for subcompact, especially in Europe. GM needs to improve the fuel mileage to go along with the updated look.

Precisely, there is a need for AWD in many parts of the US. It's a great friend to have in snow and icy conditions.

Maybe you don't miss it because you have never owned or experianced one. I've owned seven over the last twenty years, and we'll keep on making a stink until GM brings it back.!!!

If I owned the old Avalanche I'd certainly want to trade my in. So much cleaner looking, a huge style improvement over the previous generation. Hopefully they come up with inovations that will blow the competition away.

If half of these rumors are correct I'd be quite ecstatic. Can GM build a V8 Camaro for $22,000 when Ford can't do it now with the Mustang, doesn't seem possible. Maybe the 2006 Detroit Auto Show will be a memorable one after all.

I don't believe that the Lucerne will make any conquest sales for Buick either. In fact, if you look at the drivetrain it's not competitive. Especially when it's the only one in its field that is still using a 4 spd automatic.

Agreed, it's too heavy. I really doubt it will be around for more than a few more years.
