  1. 263,000 miles on mine before the car was stolen. The engine itself was fine... but the radiator and heater core went bad, with the water pump following not long after.
  2. not mentioned in the article is the fact that the Cutlass Supreme coupe and convertible also used a transverse, composet leaf spring.
  3. Olds 307
  4. From the article: So lemme get this straight.... people are randomly mailing GM money.... for a car that GM hasn't said they'll even build..... and the decision hasn't been made yet?
  5. In 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th.
  6. Well.... close. From cars.com Additionally since we already know the HF3.6 is going into the G6... it's just a restraining order away from getting Bob Lutz to put is in the G6 Cabrio also.
  7. uh.... what? You may not like the design, but they are quite capable smaller trucks. Only the Ranger and the Chevy/GMC twins are small enough to be in the small catagory anymore. Notice the Durango is almost the size of a 1993 F-150 these days? Even the Tacoma is getting pretty big. If you only need a small truck, would you rather a Colorado or a Ranger.....?
  8. It's not sold anywhere.... yet.
  9. While I doubt we'll ever see fuel below $1.00 a gallon again... even if it is E85... I agree with the rest of it.
  10. I would think that the new Camry.. with the same engine but 6-speeds <most of the time> is more complex then the Avalon as well....
  11. at a 32% approval rating for the W and somewhere in the range of 19% for the congress, I'd think they'd be used to people getting huffy with them on the phone when they ask for money.
  12. I disagree..... Working out is fun... and I can make a great tasting cheeseburger with only 8 grams of fat.... yes.. with real beef.
  13. Ah yes... a pavement ripping 200 ft/lbs. Even the 3.5 has 220 something. The 3.9 has 235. To put this in perspective, the Sebring convertible has 190 ft/lbs. The standard Jetta 2.0t weighs 100 lbs. less then a Sebring convertible. I would think the Eos's weight will be higher then a Jetta. You're going to need each and every one of those 200 ft/lbs running through each of those 6 gears to get the Eos to hustle.
  14. "But the G6 has teh pushRods! Pushrods ARE teh SUXORS!!!!11!!2!"
  15. saw an older, white haired, black lady driving a new Thunderbird..... with spinners that could puree small rodents while she drove. a few miles away was a black Escalade <2nd gen> with spinners and.... a continental kit.... with a spinner on that too.
  16. SINO Saturn In Name Only
  17. is it just me or do the FWD proportions look especially ungainly on this one...
  18. Well... to completely gross everyone out.... he's also lactose intolerent... so feed him some milk and you could hook up a turbo charger if you wanted......
  19. I was refering to the '66 Electra. I get 18/27 out of my CTS and 14/22 out of the Avalanche.
  20. Uh... now show a pic with the top down.... see that little space in the bottom center? Yeah, that's all you get. Chas and I watched them demonstrate the top mechanism of the EOS at NAIAS. Being the VW lover he is, he instantly wanted one. I told him we're not getting anything like that from VW without the extended warrenty.
  21. oh I already sleep much better... thanks.
  22. The doctor was amazed chas was even functional at his level of apnea.
  23. Chas was around 25 times an hour and his blood oxygen level would drop to 50%. He had surgery on his throat in November <when I almost lost him> to correct the problem but it only provided marginal benefit. It must be the genetics in his family because all of his sibling <5> and father snoore very badly. Most of the time the snoring is caused by weight... but Chas is 5'7" and 135lbs.
  24. Well that.... and that he was getting super tired and taking naps around 4pm everyday.
