Build your Dream Sleeper
I'm going to date this photo at 1984. The N-body Calais was release in '85. The grill on the Toronado and 88s suggests 84 or 85 and the fact that there isn't an Omega <last year, '83> tells me '84.

Forget Ferrari, Porsche, even Lamborghini...
I stepped in some Geo Metro the other day.... had to scrape it off on the edge of the curb.

Who looks better on the platform?
The 9-3. It should be included in the poll because it was the first to the US market on Epsilon.

Well they are ment to be sporty. On that note though, I have seen some neat engine swaps. I've seen a turbocharged 3.4 DOHC from the Cutlass in one and I've heard of a Northstar swap.... but I dunno how true it is. It's crazy what you Fiero guys can/will fit in the trunk of your car.

The BLS: Cadillac Continues Global Growth
It looks like a Malibu with a Cadillac badge thrown on the front.... which I suppose is fair since the Catera looked like a previous gen Malibu with a Cadillac badge on the front.

Calling All C&G Computer Guys...
You've got spyware on your machine somewhere. 1.Make sure you have updated anti-virus, an excellent free one can be had at www.avast.com download the home edition and register your e-mail with them. I've never been received anything more then the registration e-mail from them. 2.Make sure you have an anti-spyware software installed. Microsoft Anti-Spyware is free <for now> and is actually pretty good... mostly because Microsoft didn't write it. 3. If you are on cable modem or DSL, make sure you have a firewall installed on the machine. Even if you are running Windows XP service pack 2, the firewall included is inadaquate. Download Zonealarm for free from www.zonealarm.com 4. Make sure all your Windows updates are done. All of them... every single one... even if it updates a piece of software you do not use. I'd venture to guess that most of the e-mail viruses out there are from hijacked, unused copies of Outlook Express that people don't patch because they don't use it.

If GM is to start another business...
A farm equipment company. With all the 3800 haters out there that compaire the 3800 to a John Deere, apparently GM is missing a potential market considering John Deere is one of the most respected farm equipment manufacturers out there. P.S. I'm not a 3800 hater, I just don't think the application in the Lucerne is appropriate.

I have no animosity towards the 3800. I actually think it's a great engine. On that note, the base, naturally-aspirated, downrated 3800 should NOT have been the base engine for the brand new, most premium, Buick available. I mean really, couldn't they have at least stuck the new 3.9 in there? The 3.6vvt should have been base, 3.9 if that doesn't work. Leave the 3800 for the Impalas <I might at that the new impala gets the 3.9> and maybe mini-vans.

It's a blast. It will get you into trouble very quickly even without the V8. I've had it to 120mph and it feels completely stable. The tires that come stock with it are crap. I burnt them off in less then a year. 300 treadware I think. Budget snow tires for yourself if you're in a northern climate. The stabilatrack and snow mode will do everything in their power to keep you on the road, but in the end it comes down to good old fashioned grip. I recommend the Dunlop Winter Sports. I had great performance with them last winter. unfortunately, I don't get too many opertunities to throw the car around as I live and work in the city. Sometimes I drive down into West Virginia just to let the car loose. My only real gripe with the car is that it doesn't like to be driven conservatively. If you're driving like your grandpa, the transmission shifts too early and lugs the engine. If your drive it like you stole it, the car plays along. sorry if I've rambled a bit, 4 glasses of wine will do that to a lightweight like me.
