FIRST LOOK: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
I like the new logo. Its sleek and modern but keeps the arrowhead design intact. The interior is gorgeous (except for the lack of red gauges ) and I love the steering wheel. The base engine is fantastic, but it needs a 5/6-spd manual optional, IMO. None of this really matters, though, because I can't f@#king afford one, anyway.

FIRST LOOK: 2008 Pontiac G8 GT
Only one very very very very very minor complaint. Gauges aren't red. Other than that, this is everything I'd ever want in a full-size sedan. The Charger is obsolete.

The interior is a (nice) surprise, I sure didn't expect them to keep the same radio/HVAC controls.

G8 Teaser
I need to make more money...or rob a bank. If the rest of this thing is as hot as that little piece we saw, it will raise Pontiac back up to my favorite GM brand.

Is the UAW At Fault for Detroit's Woes?
GMs current problems can't be pinned on any single person or group, with the possible exception of the management responsible for POS after POS from the 70s till just a few years ago. However, the UAW isn't helping matters by being stubborn.

The design of the center stack is mind-blowing.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
As for the exterior, and this may have something to do with the photography, but something about it as a whole just doesn't...mesh right. In some photos, the front almost looks like a photochop, in others the front looks droopy in comparison to the rest of the car, like it was meant to go on another car. I dunno, its weird. 4/5.

2008 Cadillac CTS: Image Gallery
People keep talking about the exterior, whether its better than the current or worse and its pros and cons, as if that is what really matters about this refresh. The comparison that should be made is this one. The new CTS is a success based solely on the above. The new interior is without a doubt the best looking interior GM has ever designed. 2008 Ford Focus
bowtie_dude replied to Flybrian's topic in North American International Auto Show in Detroit (NAIAS)I'm actually really impressed with it. That interior is really nice, design-wise, and shows up the Cobalt interior.
