Ever check your back seat?
My alarm, and most I've set off in my life, only does the honking/flashing thing for 15-20 minutes. But yeah, I'm not too worried about it, I just kind of did it earlier, not sure why. I'm dumb like that.

Ever check your back seat?
I got into the car earlier and before I out the key in the ignition, I looked in the back seat to make sure there was no ax-wielding psycho waiting there. There wasn't one, which is good, since the car had been in my garage all day.

Toyota To Ask For 100k Vehicles From Subaru Plant
Any ideas what vehicles Toyota wants to build there? The Prius makes sense, there is a lot of demand for hybrids, and being able to build 100k more would be good for Toyota. Also producing Scions there kind of makes sense. They're not super-high volume, so building one or two models here wouldn't artificially decrease sales numbers, and it would take out the hassle of having to ship the cars across the ocean.

New spyware could prevent speeding
Speeding is fun. I'm pretty sure that if they make these things manditory and insurance companies/cops try to use them to extort money out of speeders, there will be lawsuits galore. Most people aren't cool with Big Brother.

Harlequin to publish NASCAR romance novels
I've gone more than twelve hours but cannot hold it anymore. Who do they expect to buy these? Romance novel readers aren't interested in NASCAR and NASCAR fans cannot read and would only be interested if the main character were having sex with both his sister and his cousin but ends up being seduced by a prize winning goat.

Anyone have a Mini?
I'd like to have a classic Mini as sort of a second car/toy but not as a daily driver. The Cooper has a CVT, the S has a 6-speed manumatic. Honestly, I'd go with the auto simply because I drive a lot in stop-and-go traffic and because CVTs are really cool. if I buy new, I can get a decently equipped Cooper or a very basic Cooper 'vert or S. The vert is a bit gay, but I kind of miss having a convertible, I think I'll at least consider it when the time comes.

ATLAS ENGINES
The Atlas I-5 in the Sky would be interesting. Enough power to move, and just different enough to keep with Saturns being quirky.

What Car Would You Buy?
A car built in Japan by a naturally Japanese company that is controlled by the French can probably claim dual-citizenship.

Malcolm's Chery
I wonder if they're even going to meet safety regulations. Hyundai proved that with a long enough warratny, you cen sell a car with iffy reliability, although now they are much improved in that respect. The market is saturated, but people are cheap, if they can get a decent car with a bunch of normally optional equipment standard, they will do it. People are stupid, all they need to see is "Air conditioning and a CD player standard for only $8,995 with a 7 year/70,000 mile warranty" and they'll be hooked. I hope I'm wrong about that, I hope Chery comes here, sells 4 cars in the first year and then leaves, but Kia stuck around on the strength of the Sportage and Sephia, so American's track records for making smart decisions isn't very good.

Buy a GM, or Pay GM...
No, you've got it all wrong. They're paying off the media who in turn sends out mind-controlling fleas to bite people and make then anti-American.

Anyone have a Mini?
Just wondering if anyone on the forums has, or has spent significant time in, a Mini Cooper. I'm thinking about getting one within the next year, I'd love to hear from someone who has had to deal with one on a daily basis.

What Car Would You Buy?
GM: Uh.....an SRX would be pretty nice Ford: I really like the Fusion and 500, so I think I'd wait for the 500 to get a Fusion-like face. Chrysler: Wow....um....Do they still make the Aries? No? Then I'll say Magnum. European: No second thought required, Mini Cooper Japanese: Honda Element

L -Series Brake Light
Open the trunk and find the white plastic thing the bulb goes in to. Turn it clockwise(I believe) until it wont turn anymore. These stupid things have a tendancy to loosen themselves up. Happens to mine all the time, almost got a ticket for it once. Its a pain in the ass, but your bulb is probably good, the thing it plugs into probably just loosened itself.

What bankruptcy would mean to GM
We've been through the Buickman thing before. He doesn't want his "plan" out in the public, yet he emailed it to anyone who asked. Several of our insiders and people who know the industry tore his plan apart bit by bit, showing exactly why it wouldn't help GM, although it would make things a little nicer for the dealers. And the interview was supposed to happen a long time ago, Josh didn't bother to do it and wouldn't answer Buickman's emails. Professional journalism at its finest.

What bankruptcy would mean to GM
Yay, more Buickman. Hey Josh, whens that interview you've been promising us for the last eight months? You know, the one that is going to rock the industry. Remember, Buickman is going to have a huge impact on GM's future? Yeah, so when do we get to see the full transcripts from that?
