Wife's family is having a shindig (possibly a hootinanny) so we're on the east coast for a little bit. This morning we found out what happens when a 3 year old flies for the first time.

Just checked the local (Missouri) news and the state hasn't yet burned, consider me disappointed. I loathe that state and cannot wait to leave for good. I wish only the worst for that $h!hole and its people.

Off to a far more Merry Land, if only for a few days. I do hate the thought of having to come back to this hellhole, maybe the whole state will burn before next Wednesday.
  4. Probably wouldn't have bought the Jetta if C4C hadn't come around.
  5. I ask again, in what way does it make sense to take a car thats ready for sale in the U.S. and hold it from the market? And early production bugs would have already been discovered in Europe, Asia or Africa, so its unlikely there is going to be a mass recall. As for the suggestion that they want it to go head-to-head with the new Civic, thats just asinine. The Civic has a huge following and has been a top-10 seller for years. The Cruze will be the 3rd name for a Chevy compact this decade, people will say, "I know what a CIvic is, but wtf is a Cruze?" so it would be in GM's best interests to get it here as soon as possible so it can become better known in the market without being overshadowed by any of its competitors.
  6. Taking a car thats ready for sale in the states and holding it back a few months isn't shaking things up.
  7. Why would you hold a car back to compete with an unknown entity when you could release it to compete with a known (an not universally loved) one?
  8. I hope thats not the line of thinking GM is using, thats just Astra all over again.

  10. As slow as GM has been bringing this thing to the States, they should call it Camaro Jr.

tension (as in the sexual tension in this thread is thick and uncomfortable)
  15. After re-reading the Tampax Atherosclerosis thread last night, I can only say that I hope he's seeking professional help.
  16. Chevy BTW, the poll is missing a choice
  17. Wow, no passenger side mirror, just like a 1991 Saturn SL whose buyer couldn't afford the $125 option.

  21. Dammit, I meant "cookies" not "food" but I was reading that stupid thread when I posted that and I had food on the mind.
  22. New forum order! Codex Amadaus Mozart! They're going to hoard all my food!
  23. I hope for GM's sake that whatever the test the EPA comes up with for the Volt will deliver better than 32mpg, or even 40-50mpg. That would be an absolute bitch to advertise.
  24. I'd rather they go to a forward looking company with an interest in adding American jobs than to a golden parachute.
