  1. Hey bcarr22, are you sure you weren't talking to some car window cleaner at the show?
  2. I was at the auto show today and I have to say the new Camry is disappointing, especially the sporty version. I'm sure the drivetrain is first class but overall exterior design is disappointing, it looks even worse in person than on pictures. The interior is nothing to brag about and IMHO it still is not as good as Accord's interior. Also, Escalade-awesome inside and out Ford Edge-very nice inside and out, should sell well Lincoln MKX(Aviator)-nice but not worth $5-6K? over the Edge Lincoln MKS(concept)-cool car, it got the potential. Camaro and Challenger-build them and they'll come.
  3. Where is the Ford Escape Hybrid?
  4. The only bad thing would be the fact that Mutual funds who strictly invest in DOW 30 would have to sell GM stock.
  5. How credible would DOW JONES be if they keep only the stocks that are doing good. Delisting will only happen(maybe) if GM files for bankruptcy.
  6. How much more would the E320cdi cost to buy?

  8. Yeah, those 2X4's on the hood sure look hot. :D
  9. My post was about manufacturing cost.
  10. The LS6 was in the CTS-V.
  11. How about this, lets say that HF 3.6 V6 and LS1 V8 cost the same to build(I know the LS1 is not made anymore). IIRC the CTS's base MSRP with the 3.6 and automatic is about $35.8K. So, take the LS1 and put it in the CTS and charge only $1k extra(to cover for better brakes and suspension upgrade). Nobody could complain that the Cadillac is using "old tech" engine because it would be up to the customers to pick a DOHC engine with less power or an LS1 with more power for about the same money. Cadillac would own the market while still making the same profit per sold CTS as they already do. Selling 100K CTS's a year would be a piece of cake.
  12. 268 hp V6 sure is nice but lets not forget that a 303 hp V8 Impala will probably still be cheaper after rebates.
  13. Yeah....It can get complicated reak quick....do we count the money Buick is making in China?
  14. My guess Chevy GMC Cadillac Hummer
  15. It depends on your down payment, it's not that hard to figure out which option saves you more money.
  16. Although the 3.6 engine in my 06 CTS is light years ahead of the 3.2 engine that was in my 03 CTS it's still nowhere near to some of the competition when it comes to NVH. With the 2.8 being from the same family I can see somebody thinking it's too loud.
  17. F/L/M dealers are nowhere near to fully stocked with the F/M/Z.
  18. The deal was too good, I just couldn't say no. :D
  19. Red tag promotion certainly worked on me. I don't know if Cadillac dealers even participate in the promotion but the one I visited a few days ago had red tags with attractive lease deals on their cars. That little red tag made me walk inside and next thing you know I have a new car.
  20. Anybody owning almost 10% of a company should be represented on the board.
  21. Board representation? Why don't they use their money to buy a 10% stake in GM, if they want Board representation. This company is so screwed, it's next to impossible to fire a worker, and now they should get Board representation too. Communism at it's best.
  22. Follow the money.
  23. I leased a 06 CTS a couple of days ago, I hope that helps a little. :)
