I really like the look of the new ION. I'm a bit concerned about rear seat headroom and the very small trunklid, but it probably won't be a big deal. The interior looks to be very high quality and well thought-out. I really like how the shifter flows into the center stack, and that the dashboard wraps around, sort of like the Sky. I think the HVAC vents are huge because they also have the side window defroster in the top part. Having one big faceplate probably saves money. It's also funny that it goes into production 2 years from now. It will probably be at NAIAS 2007! :CG_all:
  2. Lutz was born in Switzerland...
  3. Since the Buick Lambda is the last one to go into production, I would guess New York.
  4. I also just noticed that the wheelbase on the new Tahoe is exactly the same as the old one (to the millimeter) and the length has increased by 8", yet first and second row legroom is exactly the same and third row legroom has decreased by 2 inches. <_<
  5. The interior looks good, if a bit similar to the Impala. I'm not so sure about the exterior, though. The front looks good but the back is very plain and the windows look strange. The engine choices are confusing too. Three engines with the choice of iron or aluminum blocks? And the 6-speed is only available on the expensive 6.2? Bah! Edit: I now see that the 7 engines are for the entire GMT900 line, with only 3 going in the Tahoe. But the 6speed thing still aggravates me.

Why shouldn't you laugh? That's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

  9. I cringed every time he said CSX. It's CXS, moron.
  10. Looks like the Ford GT.
  11. Thought I'd port this post over:
  12. The back strikes me as being a hopped-up Crossfire.
  13. From Tulane's own site:
  14. I'm sorry to hear that. I go to U of R and there isn't much room for additional students. The only reason a spot in my hall opened up was because a kid had to withdraw for financial reasons.
  15. A displaced kid from Tulane just moved into my hall the other day, but he's from around here anyway.
  16. Interesting, it has Aura headlights. Is that based on the CSVs? The hood doesn't look high enough and the C-pillar is blacked out.
  17. That seems more like manners than political correctness. It would be different if you said "she's fatter than a black family at KFC!" or something.
  18. I think you're right. What a strange thing to put in a commercial.
  19. Why does it look so trucky (high beltline, looks chunk overall)? I also don't like the basket handle and 06 Civic-short hood. Actually.....
  20. The grill is on sort of an outgrowth that looks strange from some angles: That's the only thing I can think of though.

Once you see the interior it's obvious they started from the SL.
  22. And Lucerne.
