Trinacriabob's turn: What car do I buy?
It's not up there, but G6. Aside from riding on a more-modern platform than the Impala, Monte, Grand Prix and Lacrosse, it wears handsome sheetmetal (you said it yourself in regards to the front-fascia), has a higher-quality interior, great rear-legroom thanks to the long wheelbase (and more headroom than the GP), and can be had in GTP trim for under $24k (or 6-cylinder trim for under $20k) before incentives. If two-doors are more your speed, go for the coupe.

TCC: Faceoff: Lexus IS350 Vs. BMW 330i
This is such a hollow statement. Honestly, compare lineups and tell me when the last time Buick as a whole impressed anyone.

All '07 IS' are equipped with a VDIM-defeat button. Simple, no?

'07 Lexus IS Loses VDIM
'07 Lexus IS Gains VDIM-Defeat Button Since it's introduction as an '06 model, the one major downfall of Lexus' second-generation IS has been it's VDIM (Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management) system, or more specifically, a means by which to turn it off. As Edmunds stated it, "The biggest downer is the inability to disarm the VDIM system, which mutes the sedan's performance long before the limits of its chassis and tires are reached." For '07 (just one year into the second-gen IS' model run), Lexus has adressed this issue with the addition of a VSC/VDIM-defeat button, along with other minor changes. -------------------- The biggest news is the addition of a VSC/VDIM defeat button. Even better is that this change was the direct result of feedback from enthusiasts and press reviewers. Two items only available in packages in 2006 are now available as a standalone options: Aluminum Sport Pedals and HID/AFS. Two new standard features are an illuminated fuel/trunk opener and an additional fog lamp indicator. The 2007 IS will sport a new shark-fin antenna. Apparently, there was a minefield of patented shark-fin designs that needed to be navigated before this could be produced, but it's a welcome change. Three colors are dropped/changed from the 2006 lineup: Crystal White is replaced by Starfire Pearl (077) Black Onyx is replaced by Obsidian (212) Blue Onyx is replaced by Black Sappire (8U0) The Obsidian black is supposed to be the blackest black Lexus has ever produced and will be shared with the GS and LS. Supposedly a mirror-black finish, expect it to look astonishing - when clean. Finally, we see a new, less expensive sport package which does NOT replace the ST package, the X-Package (XE): 18" Five-spoke Super Chrome Finish Wheel with summer tires (unique design unavailable otherwise, though previously available as a JDM accessory option, see image) Front Air Dam Sport Tuned Suspension Aluminum Sport Pedals Illuminated Scuff Plates (not previously included in ST package) courtesy my.IS

Pontiac Still Will Sell Front-Drive Cars
If it means exploring a segment that NO ONE has touched, then why not? Maybe it's time for GM to take a risk and actually create a trend. Exploring uncharted market territory can be a fruitful thing, and if the prospect of compact, affordable rear-drive doesn't appeal to you, I'm not sure I can convince you otherwise.

Chrysler's "Smoke and Mirrors" marketing
I wouldn't call the Commander the "answer to the question absolutely no one was asking." That distinction easily goes to the Compass and (to a lesser extent) the Patriot. It's a shame, but Jeep really lost it's way this past year. The Commander would've made sense if it weren't for it's gimmicky styling, but the Compass is one of the worst-executed production vehicles since the Aztek. I guess Jeep has none other than Dodge and the disastrous Caliber to thank for that, but I have no sympathy for a brand that completely abandons it's roots for such worthless crap. Oh well.

New RWD Buick Flagship for 08'!?!?!?
To most, "Park Avenue" and "Roadmaster" are attached to such frumpy vehicles. I think the public would react better to names that don't conjure up images of cushy, conservatively-styled land yachts.

Weird. I see an interior that's leagues ahead of any car in GMNA's current lineup.- Banned from Chat?!?
I figured that last incident would get you banned.- CGI Of Next-Gen CR-V
I like the Ridgeline. There. I said it.- I don't even know what to say
Nick put his balls in a bowl of alcohol?- Fit the new Element?
Old people generally drive like they're in bumper cars anyway, so this makes sense to me. I recently saw an elderly woman hit three (3) cars in the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot all to end up parking entirely crooked and illegally anyway. She was driving a Fleetwood Brougham. Had it been a Fit, the damage could've been less severe.- Popular Mechanics' '08 Malibu
My take on the horribly awkward PM rendering of the '08 Malibu. Original:- ....
