Has Mercedes-Benz Gone Chinese?
Is it me, or does the all-new GL look downright cheap and generic? I've seen Chinese imitations that look more authentic than this actual MB design. Everything about it screams dull, plasticky and derivative. *NOTE: The following images are taken from the official Mercedes-Benz website*.

G5
I think the 'G5' name would make most sense applied to a Vibe replacement.

Are Japanese cars so great?
Does anyone know if the previous-generation Impala is known for having issues with the door handles breaking off? I've seen countless Impalas missing door handles, and actually broke one off myself while entering an Impala earlier this year. The owner said it wasn't uncommon.

Is the BLS coming for 2007?
Why would anyone kid? Saab has the potential to be one of GM's strongest brands. Unfortunately, GM doesn't seem to realize that Saab won't prosper with rebadged Subarus and Trailblazers composing it's lineup. The fact is, Saab is losing it's exclusivity within GM and is quickly evolving into yet another form of GM's heirarchy of monotonous brands. Those who take part in the blind animosity toward anything Saab on these boards are ignorant to the fact that GM hasn't done anything conducive to Saab's image. If Saab's "turnaround" were composed of more than shoddy rebadges, the story would be different. But that's not the case. It's unclear how some of you expect Saab to prosper with the tasteless crap GM is shoveling at consumers. What was once a tightly focused marque with a loyal following is quickly on it's way toward becoming yet another Buick, Pontiac, or Saturn within GM. Oh well.

WSJ: "39% of GM's 4Q Sales Were Fleet"
"Here's one of the most shocking numbers from GM's genuinely awful fourth-quarter financial report: 39% of the passenger cars GM sold in the U.S. during the quarter were sold to fleets, including rental-car agencies. When people say that GM makes too many cars that people don't want, this is what they are talking about."

2007 Dodge Caliber
Basically. This thing already looks dated. Remember, the Caliber pictured above is the top-of-the line, fully-loaded model. Imagine how cheap and dull the base model will look. These blocky, cumbersome designs are completely repulsive in my eyes. Not everything has to be sleek and curvaceous, but DCX is trying too hard to be different just for the sake of being different. That interior, on the other hand, takes austerity to a whole new level. Blocky, uninteresting design aside, it's an absolute sea of plastic. I'd go crazy in there.
