  1. I think this year GM will see the major increases in products they introduced last year like the Cobalt, Impala, HHR, etc, as well as the the GMT-900s. They need the production #s and products to get the numbers.
  2. I'm about to fly to Japan to throw my Toshiba through the window of their corporate head quarters. Don't waste your money on a Toshiba. Not only did my mother-board break in less than 3 months of ownership, we had to fight them to fix it, it took 3 weeks to fix and now the radio buttons don't work and the sound is wavy. Don't even try talking to their customer service line, they could care less and provide some of the worst customer service I've experienced in years. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A TOSHIBA!!
  3. I like it, though what's with the delay for the hybird model? Anyone know the details of it?
  4. Last I heard the new OnStar will link directly with your cell, assuming you use Verizon, so it is onestep above bluetooth.
  5. Beautiful. Congrats!
  6. It's what the G6 needed in the 1st place to be truley competitive (short of an interior redo).
  7. Just like the Buick, I love it, especially the inside. Kudos to GM for moving ahead in making something they didn't have. I couldn't agree more that these are the kind of products that will help GMs bottom line in the short and long run.

My $14,000 car has none of those problems at 27,500 miles.
  9. It could be about math. What would it cost to fix and continue to use vs getting something new. A 1993 Cavalier wagon won't appreciate, but it also shouldn't depreciate. Does it present the image you want to protray to the rest of the world? Some might find this comment crazy, but maybe your career path requires that the car you drive fits a certain image. I guess in the end the main piece, can you afford something better?
  10. I couldn't agree with you more. I have a cousin with more confidence than anyone I know and he is also more conservative than anyone I know. I myself have enough confidence to get into trouble and I'm a registered republican (though I wasn't dumb enough to vote for Bush).
  11. Hold it there now just a minute, toyota reports, I mean consumer reports have told me toyota is built proof and perfect for years now and I'm supposed to think differently? WOW has toyota missed the mark on making a decent looking toaster, I mean camry for a while.
  12. 27,500 miles on ours with no problems. Not even a squeek. Can't say that for my parents scion. I think it's overpriced, but there is enough idiots out there that think if it's made in Japan it must be better.
  13. Good looking exterior, interior looks old school cheap.
  14. I like every bit of it. I hope that comes over for Saturn.
  15. This is a typical trend with GM. With new product there is always less fleet sold. As it ages they will increase fleet sales. Case in point is the newest Malibu. I just wish they would rid themselves of fleet dependecy all together. That's the only way they are going to be able to help themselves in the long run. I've said it before and I'll say it again. GM should have a division that just makes fleet vehicles. Taking the lead from products like the "Classic". They could easily make grill changes and other "cheap" changes and label them under a fleet brand line. This would keep the residuals of other GM products higher and help GM keep up the so needed plant capacity.
  16. GM spent the money and it looks great. Why not? China's LaCrosse Super has the style they have described.
  17. That's what I was thinkin. Heck I thought this meant when we where in our teens.

Had 2 Intrigues. Great cars. My wife and I have been debating the next car. At this point the HHR is the front runner with hopes of a hotter 2008 Malibu as a second choice.

Sounds like he got his moneys worth.
  20. Great article. Thanks. Of all the divisions, Saturn is the one that could get magazines like cr to recommend GM products. Hopefully they won't be changing the suspensions of the Opels to be "American". Otherwise they can kiss top the top selling #'s away.

Sorry to hear about the accicdent, but glad to hear neither of you are hurt. The depression part can be a tough one. Being the car freak, would looking at new cars brighten you up? Now you have an excuse to test drive everything on the lot.
  22. So I was reading this months Car and Driver at Target when I noticed an article about the long term acura they had that ended up in the shop more often than a 1985 Tempo. Anyone got the article yet to enlight us on it?
  23. That would be a nice addition. If they want it to compete with the Asian marks, they need to offer it. Plus it will only improve it's gas mileage ratings.
  24. Interesting to see GM making strong progess around the world while toyota is struggling with the same. One wonders how 10 years of this might change the automotive landscape.
  25. I like how she went at it with specific comment rather than blank I hate them statements. One has to wonder when or if people will catch on to their flawed thinking.
